About Flashpoint

The Flashpoint Professional Power Battery Grip for the Nikon D7000 is an optional but essential accessory with excellent ergonomics designed specificallyfor the Nikon D7000.

Featuring intelligent links to camera functions, matching the design and feel ofyour camera while doubling the battery power with a twin cell chamber that can load a choice of one, or two battery packs. This is especially useful when taking advantage of the camera's movie mode or Live View mode - operating modes that use more power compared to using a single EN-EL15 pack. In addition, with the included battery magazine, you can also run the camera off six AA batteries.

The non-slip rubberized grip offers perfect balance in any direction with full vertical shooting controls, which can be independently turned on or off as the photographer needs to enhance camera handling, especially for shooting vertical pictures - not videos, please. The grip has generous operating controls as well:shutter button, Main Dial, multi-controller, AF point selection button, AE lock/FE lock button, AF start button, and multi-function button. The base of the grip has a standard 1/4-20 tripod socket and a hand strap mount.Your camera's original battery door fits snugly in a protective hidden slot for instant retrieval.

EXCELLENT ACCESSORY

Easy to install, easy to use, doesn't require much of a learning curve. On day outings I don't like to carry a camera bag, using a 17-200 zoom, a 32GB card and this battery I'm pretty much set!! Seems to me it could be designed to be less bulky, size could be reduced by 1/3...

It works and it's cheap.

I wanted a battery grip to balance the weight of the body against the heavier-barreled lenses, but couldn't afford the Canon. This one works just fine, adds that needed weight and balances the feel out again. Occasionally the shutter button stops focusing and once in a while one of the batteries can't be read by the camera, though i'm not sure if that's battery or battery pack. It's cheaply constructed but does the job. I've backpacked with it, never take it off, and use it for all of my shoo...

Exactly what I wanted.

I wanted a grip that would add some size and bulk to my Canon 60D. I have large hands and the 60D feels a little small in my grip. This grip adds a whole new level of comfort to my 60D.And you get the benefit of using two batteries. AND the additional function buttons are great when shooting vertically, not to mention the comfortable gripping in this position. Works perfectly, easy to use, no complaints! I won't take this off my camera.

Good for the price.

The flashpoint battery grip is a well rounded product for the money. For the price it is definitely paid for itself in the first outing. The power switch that turns on the buttons sometimes sticks to the off setting which is sometimes inconvenient, how ever, for under fifty smacker it workers itself out. I would definitely recommend this product o someone who is on a budget.

Worked as expected

Was on a wilderness excursion on Kodiak Island in Alaska and spent meny hours in the wilderness photographing the Kodiak Grizzly. Great back up as there is no where to just "plug in" and recharge. Bulky but a must have when traveling.

Very Good Fit

I got this yesterday and had it installed on my 60D in about 5 minutes. I followed the instructions and it works perfectly. I have one Canon battery and a 2nd Maximal battery and the camera see's both of them and keeps track of there useage. It feels great in my hands and it helps me steady my shooting for hand-held. I doubt I will remove this from my 60D. I also doubt that the original can be that much better

Flashpoint Battry Grip

By

Flashpoint Professional Battery Grip for the Canon 60D Digital Camera is a great buy. The Color matches the camera and the grip has a nice balance. It's very sturdy and the build quality is outstanding. Why pay 179.00 for the Canon grip?

THOMAS G  price and look.
Mike D  I've been shooting sports action with a 40D and a 50D for the last few years. I upgraded to the 60D and I'm going to purchase the Flashpoint grip and battery pack, but was wondering if there's any problem with motor driving with this grip. Does the camera focus as quickly with this grip and battery as my 50D does with original equipment?
JAMES T  This is a great grip for the money. I've never noticed any difference in focusing or any other function of this battery grip.
Mike D  Does this grip have a place to store the battery door taken off the 60D?
PATTY A  Sorry - Not sure - I don't ever take it off, so didn't look.
