Aftermarket Woes

By

I purchased an aftermarket charger for my T3i. It turned out to be a big mistake. It was almost the same cost as the Canon OEM but just never charged the batteries completely. Don't make the same mistake I did. The Canon charges is the best option. I tried to save a couple bucks and ended up paying twice.

Great Product

I mean what can one say about a battery charger? Either it works or it doesn't. My complaint is about the shipping method that Adorama uses. It takes a full week when I order from Adorama because of the screwed up shipping method that they use. They ship UPS and somehow the shipment gets transferred over to the postal service. I am in Connecticut, when I order something and it comes UPS I have it next day, with their new system takes a full week, unacceptable. If Adorama continues to use thier current shipping method I will get my items elsewhere in the future.

Questions about this item:

Zabrina R  I recently purchased a T3i body; however as I tried to charge the battery (which fit perfectly into the LC-E8E) I realized the power cord was loose (as it connected to the charger) - is it possible to exchange this for a charger that plugs directly into the wall? Has anyone else come across the same problem? I'm not sure if the power cord is meant for a different charger or what, but I think I find the wall charger more convenient and harder to lose.
GARY H  Never had that problem with loose cord, but I did want the charger that plugs directly into the outlet. The corded charger is Canon LC-E8E and the direct plug in is LC-E8. Some places if you order the LC-E8 you still get the corded charger even though they advertise it has the plug in type. The only place I found the plug in type (LC-E8) was on EBAY and it does cost more unless you get lucky and find a used one which is what happened to me. But once again, you have to look at the wording and hopefully the picture to get the plug in type. They're hard to find. Hope it works out for you.
Shopper  What about the cord to plug it in?
SHIRLEY S  Plug in chord comes with charger. A charger came with the Rebel T4i camera, but since I also purchased the battery grip which holds two battery packs, went to Adaroma & purchased a second charger so that both battery packs can be charged simultaneously.
