Love this remote! It is the perfect size and works really great! No more running to get yourself in place for a group shot. This remote also minimizes movement from you when doing macro shots.

I bought this to use with my 7D because the Vello wireless remote I was using kept locking up in constant firing mode. I expected a Canon product to be better. I read mixed reviews on the RC-6 but thought I'd give it a try. Here're the facts: 1. You must have the remote in front of the camera 2. Shutter must be set to 2or10 sec/remote 3.Only capabable of firing single shot at a time. This is a small investment to eliminate a big headache. I was tired of my wires remote. Opening the flap, plugging it in,getting tangled, etc. I had read in some reviews that this only works from the front. That is an exaggeration. Mine works well with my 60D from the front to 90 degrees to the right side, up and down. The side the sensor is on. Buy it, it comes with a little pouch that attaches to your camera strap so it is always handy.
This remote is a MUST have for tripod shooting. If you have ever used a corded remote you know what I mean. No more tangling, opening the flap, plugging in.Other reviews have said it only works straight on from the front. This is not true. It works on my 60D from the right side, top and bottom. It also comes with a little pouch yhat attaches to your camera strap, so it's always there. Another great product from Canon.
I do a lot of family portraits and event photography. This remote allows me to step away from the camera and interact with the people.
Works great with my EOS70D for self portrait taking. Worked flawlessly the first time.
It does what it needs to do, and that is trigger the camera remotely.
Snall very useful, but seems that it functions only from front of camera, would like it to be useful operating behind camera.
Instructions are simple, easy to use. Exactly as described. All pros and no cons for this item.
It worked flawlessly right out of the box, and still actuated the shutter well beyond the listed distance limit. I got shots off between 37-39 feet away from the camera, after that it was too far away. This will come in very handy for self portraiture and long exposure photography. Just press the button and off you go. Excellent!
This is a great little remote for my Canon DSLR Sl1. It fits in one's hand without being noticed, so you can take a picture of yourself without seeing the remote. I've been very pleased with the ease of use and the small size. I highly recommend this product to people looking for a way to take pictures with themselves in the photos.
I use this for selfies with friends/family, but also when taking pics of children and babies. It is not intimidating and gives more control over the pose situation. It is light weight, small/discreet and best of all, it works like a charm.
