This camera has got all the features a casual photographer like me needs. As somebody said, this is truly a Mercedes in point in shoot. Though not that good during night shoot (no other point in shoot are good either, go 4 DSLR), at [$] I dont think I can find anything better than this.

I wanted a compact, reliable travel camera to use and not have to drag my heavy professional gear. This camera performs that function very well. Not top notch gear of course but well worth the money.

I love the size of this full featured camera. It takes excellent photos and video. I don't know how they measure zoom capabilities but this cameras 14X optical zoom reaches about as far as the 4X zoom on my other Canon point-and-shoot. I haven't figured that out yet. Battery life is adequate but again not as long as my other camera. I have purchased 2 extra batteries because they are very inexpensive online.

I keep this camera on me at all times to capture unexpected moments when I don't have professional equipment. So far, it has been great for quick group shots, capturing faraway curiosities with the zoom lens, and studying motion with the 240fps video. Image quality is acceptable for the size; it's not uber-superb, but I think that is expecting too much.
