Best card for Canon 60D

I researched a lot before buying this card. My main concerns were reliability and speed. My goal was to get the best card for a Canon 60D. I hesitated between this card and the 45MB/s UHS class 1. Bottom line, there's no point in buying a UHS card unless your camera supports it (most cameras don't as of Nov 2011). If you don't see UHS stated in the specs of your camera, it doesn't. An UHS card will still work, but in compatibility mode at lower speed. 30MB/s is the maximum speed of non-UHS c...

There's plenty of counterfeited cards out there.

Here's a memory workhorse!

By

from Syracuse, NY  -  Professional

This SanDisk memory card is a must for serious photography. I have used SanDisk cards for years without a single one failing me! A number of other brands have given me various sorts of "hiccups" that caused me to lose images in the past. I take good care of my memory cards, but occasionally accidents do happen. The SanDisk Extreme cards are hearty and reliable...surviving unexpected weather situations and temperature extremes. I no longer worry about losing valuable images when on extended photo shoots in the wild. Going for "bargain" cards will only lead to painful experiences, but SanDisk will give peace of mind and satisfaction!

Works Fiine

By

I find the Sandisk cards to be very reliable. I thought I'd try using the 60MB/s rather than the 45MB/s to get a little more speed when shooting. Can't say I see any difference there. It might matter of you shoot video.

Reliable Card, Fast write speed.

Very good write speed when shooting action in Raw format. 32gb provides sufficient capacity for 100's of shots.

Problem free

There is not much to go wrong with a memory disk, so it's good to report that the disk worked as expected out of the box and for the short time I've had it.

Does the Job

By

from Athens, GA  -  Semi-Professional

To date I've used this exclusively with my 24 Mp D610 capturing still photos. While it may not look fancy, it does the job. It keeps up with the 6 fps bursts of the D610, writing 14-bit uncompressed RAW files without fail. Likewise, file transfer rates are as advertised; no complaints at all.

Good Deal, Good Product

By

from St Augustine, FL  -  Semi Pro

At weddings, events with poeple go by quickly, and you will not have the opportunity to go back and get the image again. The product delivers fast shooting from frame to frame and the image quality remains high. This is the second 32 GB disk I have purchased, and on travel trips or events such as weddings, I have tremendous amounts of memory and do not worry about coming up short on capacity.

Questions about this item:

Jerimiah F  approximatly how much video can this hold (1080p HD on Canon T2i, 30 fps)? I have the 8 GB version and it's just not big enough for some things.
CHRISTOPHER E  I'm using mine in a Nikon D7000. I've never got close to filling the card up either with video or still images. Based upon my use of a 2GB card in other cameras, shooting 1080HD 30fps, I get about an hour of video per 2GB, so I would assume you should comfortably get about 15 hours. Hope this helps.
Jerimiah F  Thanks!

Charles S  I'm looking to use this card with the JVC GC-PX100 full HD Everio Camcorder is there a video 1, 2 hr etc capacity with this combo ?
ADRIAN K  The capacity in video time will depend on the quality setting of the camera. Mist video camera manuals have a table showing recording times for different module capacities and quality settings. In this case: a 32GB module will give you around 107 minutes of recording at the top MOV quality setting.
