I'm reviewing the entire range of inks, not just this particular pigment. I used a Canon Pro9500mkII for some time; although I obtained good results, the miniscule ink cartridges, the insane manner in which I had to set up ICC profiles led me to Epson. The range of color to my eyes is more than subtly better. I can not quite put my finger on it, the colors appear to be significantly superior to the Canon. I print almost exclusively with Red River gloss and semi-gloss papers. Not printing on more absorbant papers has helped conserve ink usage, although the two grays (light and light light black) deplete faster than the others. The larger capacity cartridges are a definite plus and as long as I avoid the more ink absorbing papers, cartridge life seems to last a long time, relative to my printing, which is quite frequent.
