Great Product

We use this printer for daily home use and, my wife being a teacher, She uses it for that. I print lots of graphs and charts related to investing. We print lots of family photos and the quality is comparable to professional standards.

So Far So Good

Use this for all document printing, scanning and copying. Also use for small prints 8x10 or less. Starts up faster than old Epson CX3810. Very satisfied with all printing results. Was not easy to get this setup on home network. Confusing directions in setup, even with on screen dialogs. Could not get Espon E Web Print setup on either deskstop PC which was directly wired to the network through router. But from Laptop wireles setup was almost a no brainer and then was able to get E-web print setup. Also setup from Ipad was easy.

Overall very good

I bought this Epson Expression XP-850 to replace an Artesian 810. I like that this has a much smaller footprint, but has all the same features. Excellent quality photo prints. The 6-ink system gives the photos a very, very realistic look. You cannot tell the difference between these photo prints and actual film. Graphics & charts, color prints look pretty good (a little washed out, but very acceptable). I love the fact you can print, scan and fax sizes up to 8 1/2 X 14. The setup for the printer was very easy. I use it wirelessly on all my computers, cell phones and pads, and it was a breeze to install on each. I love the duplex printing, as well as the 30-sheet document feeder for scans and faxes. Even the document feeder will duplex (scans both sides). I have not used the CD print feature, but it worked great with the Artesian 810. I'm sure this should would as well. I also love the fact that the photos are in their own tray on this model. That was a problem with the 810. This model also holds more paper than the 810. I also really like the fact that the tray stays closed to keep out dust when not printing. When you are ready to print, this model will automatically extend the output tray. (Occasionally I would forget on my 810 and the paper/photos would fall to the floor). This one is great! The only con I have observed so far: although I understand why the receiving tray does not retract automatically (it cannot know when you've retrieved your job), I do not like the feeling as you manually push the tray back in. It feels as if it is pushing against the motor that extends the tray. I wish they had a retract button, or, like in a CD/DVD/Blu-Ray, it would automatically retract when you give it a slight push. It has a motor to extend when printing. You would think this would have been easy to incorporate in this model. Overall I think this is a great printer! I can recommend this for frequent as well as infrequent users. I would not recommend this for heavy duty users, since the paper tray does not store a lot and it is a little slow on the first print. Otherwise, this is a GREAT printer and I hightly recommend. Last note: I hope the ink cartridges (277) will stay available on the market for the consumer longer than the Artesian 810 (98,99) did. Although I can still get the 98/99 online at full price, it is not readily available at most stores and office supplies. Still, I highly recommend this model.

Features Rich, Design Just OK

Does not hold much paper. Made of less than best grade plastic. Questionable how it will hold up at this point. Small footprint is great, as well as ability to print, copy, and fax. Would not recommend paying full price.
