This is just what I need for on-the-spot prints for photo events. I am pleasently surprised at its quality of print and speed. The colors are very close to that of my desktop PS printer.

ive had three different printers all have died after 2 years they are great for the time they last this one has the best featurs of all ive had ,theres not a lot of printers that are portable out there,hp does have great printing on these,just wish they would live longer than 2 years.

I ordered the HP A636 printer for its portability and was very impressed with its features. However, I already have an HP Photosmart D7560 which prints lab quality photos. When I compared the picture quality of both machines, the HP A636 fell short. Although the pictures were good, they were not "crisp" looking. I decided to return the HP A636 for this reason. I wish HP would develop a portable machine like this that uses individual inks which should produce better photos.

I purchased last summer only used a few time and put on shelf last month about 6 months later. Had some pictures to print and my computer was down . So I got the 636 out, pictures were great, ink was still fresh, produces nice quality picures quickly. Thanks, Today, I'm buying the battery and bag it's going on vacation with me!!

I received my photo printer from my niece and her family for Christmas last year. The memories I have been able to capture are priceless. I take it to family gatherings and the older family members are always surprised that I pass them an envelope containing pictures of the day to take home. The quality of the pictures are excellent.

Just receive this unit this month (5/09) have not yet use all of the feature, but the ones I have use. Love it very much - Trying to get help on printing out two picture in one page. Other than that Very satisfied in the Quality, great buy.

A great little printer. I am a teacher and I love taking pictures of my students. I find it very handy to take a picture and hand the student a photograph of themselves. Print quality is very good. I found it best to lighten the picture ( through the "edit" mode) before printing produces a more satisfying image, especially faces. No, the print quality doesn't quite match what my professionally printed pictures, but it is very, very good. I would recommend this printer to any and all. Choose one of the better paper qualities HP offers. Lastly, choose the option (a one time choice) to sharpen the image.

I recently purchased this machine, and can not figure out why I didn't do it sooner. HP's color spectrum in the prints is unsurpassed. This machine is very easy to use, easy to setup, and you will be up and running in really no time at all. It is great to take with you wherever you go. I even take mine camping with me. I would recommend this to anyone. The initial ink cartridge that comes with the machine does not have much ink in it, so I suggest you purchase a "normal" ink cartridge if you are planning on doing a lot of printing. Also, I suggest purchasing the carrying case too. It is fairly cheap and is built especially for the A636.

I LOVE THIS PRINTER. I can take it with me to scouting events, parties, school, anywhere. It is fabulous!!!!!!!! Every home should have one, especially if you have a baby, out of town company or have parties. You can hook your camera right to it, or pull pictures from facebook or any website to your flashdrive and print away.l No need for a manual, EASY EASY to use. It is so handy, I take it with me every where I go almost so if someone has their camera and cord, I can make a copy for me or anyone else.

Bought this well before i bought my desktop to print from my digital camera. Love the portability. Great print quality and the create features are great also. Use it exclusively as my photo printer with my desktop.

I ordered this printer on Thursday and it was delivered on Saturday. I got 10 prints and an alignment sheet out of the trial cartridge. These prints were from the same memory card I had recently printed at the store. Side by side, there was no immediate difference between the store prints and the HP prints. I have pen pals all over the world as well as family in other states that I like to mail pictures to. Email may be faster, there's something nice about getting actual pictures that you can hold in your hands. Using this compact photo printer is much more convenient than waiting for them to be printed elsewhere. I also like the fact that I can insert the memory card and crop, draw on, add text, and edit photos with the touch screen. Without a computer. Very handy! You can even use the "preferences" menu to set the machine to print the date the photo was taken right on the print. So far, I am very happy with this photo printer!

I think this product is fabulous.... I am very busy working and raising a family and don't have the time to wait for pictures to be developed or go into a store and pick the ones I want so I just sit and print them and print extras to mail to family and friends.... Just a great printer

Myself, as well as everyone else that I have shown off my favorite christmas gift to, are all very impressed with this neat little printer. The print quality is wonderful and all of the effects and options are great. I was able to take it to my grandparents for christmas and print everyone a copy of our family photo right then and there and they looked awesome! Very fun and easy to use! Love it!

I have a green wing macaw, which is used for the test page, and the colors are so bribrant, the same as my bird. I'm new to digital photography, but I was VERY impressed with this little printer. I will use this more than I use my computer. Very good buy and I personally highly reccomend it to any body who is in to photography. I always just used film, but with this printer, I think I'm going totally digital. Thanks for such a great product!!!

We took this printer to Cambodia on a mission trip. We printed over 125 pictures on the battery. We had a problem with the 0957-2121 power adapter. Using an adapter to go from 220 ac to 110 ac we blew two adapters for the HP636 printer. I think this printer should come with an ac power adapter similar to a cell phone or computer to handle this problem. We found another adapter and printed many more pictures from our bus using a 115 invertor installed on the bus. Great picture quality. Real easy to use.

All prints well - just not happy that I can't get the different layouts as in earlier models (2 or 4 pictures per 4x6 sheet) Initially, had a little trouble with photo printing crooked and a sliver of white showed. Do wish I could print more than 20 copies at a time. Otherwise, very pleased.
