This is an excellent cartridge but is over-priced. The only advantage to buying directly from HP is that they don?t ship expired cartridges like some other suppliers.

An excellent product at an exorbitantly high price.

By the time I got my yellow ink, the black ink was clogged. Rather than spend another $100 on ink I bought a colour laser printer.

No choice for a smaller cartridge. Not a heavy user

I bought and have been using an "HP Officejet Pro L7780 All-in-One" printer, copier, scanner, and fax machine since 11/27/1997 which uses HP 88 ink cartridges. HP 88 ink cartridges have become hard to find at office supply stores or are quite expensive. The L7780 still performs as designed and I'm quite happy that I chose that model. Ordering HP 88 cartridges on-line is much easier and less expensive than finding an office supply that stocks them, and the delivery is faster than HP suggests.

Always the best ink for my Officejet Pro printer.

I bought this for my Officejet Pro L7555. With black and color cartridges, I spend $215. The yellow color is not coming printer at all. Solution center is telling 100% of ink. Did all the diagnostics and tuning for the printer. No luck. Tried customer service call. Going through some automated messages and didn't address my issue. I am utterly disappointed after spending $215 to get my printing going. I would be better off buying a new printer. No way to get hold of somebody to hear my concern or warranty support.

I only trust genuine HP inks... That said, the ONLY drawback to HP ink printers is that they want their ink cartridges to be replaced WAY SOONER than necessary. I suggest you wait until the printer refuses to go any further without said replacement.

It's ink. It prints. What more should it do? HP holds a monopoly on its ink. Should I gush with enthusiasm?

Ordering ink directly from HP gets it to me quicker. It's a fresher product too.

I do not like that this product has an expiration date and locks up the printer until it is changed. This a waste of money the cartridge was still working fine but every time you turned the printer on it says to change it..

This is the best deal when purchasing the yellow ink cartridge because it lasts alot longer than the regular one and you wont have to buy cartridges as often...

Thanks for the quality cartridges and the quick delivery service. Don't have to go to town to purchase them, can do it right here from my home. Now how sweet is that?

Always sharp print, dries quickly, reliable, clean, never leak, easy to change. Very expensive to buy, but seems to print a good number of pages, if not quite what claimed by HP. An excellent product for a competitive price. CAUTION: warning! HP printers have poor ongoing software support. Very difficult to connect wirelessly thru a wireless modem. I download the correct drivers and the printer will not connect. I apy $100 for tech support, and get the printer connected, within a few days the connection fails again. Not due to a virus. Excellent virus protection.

I could never understand why my yellow 88 ink cartridge ran out before the cyan or magenta. When I inquired why, an HP specialist told me that yellow is used even when printing in black and white. So, I always order and XL yellow and black, and a regular magenta and cyan. Works out very well.

The yellow ink works fine. The problem is that the 88XL yellow cartridge contains less ink than the magenta and cyan cartridges. The magenta does 1980 pages, the cyan does 1700 pages, and the Yellow does only 1540 pages??

There needs to be a clear line vertically down the cartridge so you can see the ink level. You could be buying a cartridge half full or when the computer says to replace it the cartridge could be a quarter full. The Inks don't last long enough, I am a personal user not a business. Black (H88XL) Average 139 Days, $0.295 per day Magenta (HP88L) Average 153 Days, $0.189 per day Yellow (HP88XL) Average 94 Days, $.308 per day Cyan (HP88XL) Average 162 Days, $0.178 per day The average cost per day is $0.881
