I am very satisfied with the performance of the HP 564XL Photo Black Ink Cartridge. It consistently produces high-quality prints, even when not used for a while. Although I didn't keep track of the number of pages printed, the price-to-value ratio seems reasonable to me.

I've been using these for years and they're great. One of the last ones got was a lemon. Wouldn't show up as new on my printer. The ordered another and it was fine. Probably too late to return it as defective now...

IT TOOK ME QUITE A WHILE TO FINALLY FIND THE CORRECT TONER CARTRIDGE. I SPOKE TO A KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY AND COMPETENT (WHICH IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE) INDIVIDUAL WHO KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED. I ORDERED IMMEDIATELY. IT TOOK ALMOST TWO WEEKS TO ARRIVE, BUT MY NEED WAS NOT IMMEDIATE.

I bought this along with other HP inks as my printhead was smeared with wandering ink. I cleaned my printhead and installed the new inks. But as happens with all printers this HP Photosmart ended it's life with full inks. That's $100 wasted. I had to buy a new printer and HP business practice is to never use the same inks in a new model in order to increase profit.

Since installing this cartridge my printer stopped printing black. I have an older printer, and only print documents in black and white draft or low quality. Even though I have plenty of the large black ink cartridges, and have the color ink cartridges, I broke down and bought the photo black ink cartridge hoping it would stop the error messages. No luck. And now where my printer would print sporadically before, but had no problem printing black and white docs, now it won’t print black at all. Every cartridge including color has been replaced and is full, and it says the photo black cartridge is depleted. I even put the old empty cartridge back in but it will not print any black ink any more.

I found it so easy to purchase ink for an older printer. Most if not all stores no longer carry the ink and the purchase was stress free.
