I purchased the Photosmart D7460 to replace my old HP 5550 series, which was giving me problems. I love this D7460 printer. Installation was easy. The prints come out so clear. Just as good as a photo lab, sometimes even better. It runs very quiet and very fast printing. It was well worth the money. When it first starts printing the 1st couple of seconds, it would shake on the cabinet I have it on with my computer. I placed a rubberized mat (waffle weave type for kitchen cabinets) and it stopped the shaking. Love it. Love It.

My husband bought this for me to use for printing photographs and digital scrapbooking pages. I absolutely love this printer- the quality is amazing! I can't tell the difference between my prints and the prints from the professional photo lab. I love the touch screen on the printer and one of the most important features to me was the wireless capability. Setting up the wireless connection was so easy with this printer! I highly recommend this printer.

Folks ! This is perhaps "The Best Photosmart Printer !". Great prints, excellent features and most of all it is Wireless !! Only down side though is the cartridges and that it does not allow you to print with 1 cartridge in the printer. Else, the printer is simply excellent !!

I just bought the D7460 Photosmart Printer and LOVE IT! First, HP had the BEST price for the printer and I didn't even have to pay shipping cost. Secondly, it arrived two days after I purchased it. I couldn't believe it arrived so quickly. Installation was a breeze and very fast! I absolutely love the touch screen as well. The size is great for viewing photos and easily cropping and editing. The picture quality is amazing too. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I'd recommend this photo printer to anyone!

I wouldn't recommend this device for anyone other than someone who has advanced computer skills. Setup is riddled with problems even with upgraded software. Settings and configuration disappear on occasion. Printer does not permanently stay online in the wireless configuration. Simply put, the convenience of a wireless network printer is overrun by bad software and "guess what I'm thinking" setup instructions.

I absolutely love this wireless printer-the range is great--I can use it with it in the house while I am out in the shop--a good 100' minimum from the printer. When I bought it I was just hoping to be able to print across the room! Extra tray and duplex feature would make it perfect.

I had an HP 375 for three years but it just stopped working. I didn't want to purchase another Hp printer, but after researching different printers, I realized that the HP printers were actually considered the best. I bought the HP D7460 and got it last week. It was very easy to set up and I printed out 111 4x6 pictures right away. I did not use up the ink, which really suprised me. I love the easy picture editing. The red eye out works great. I would recommend this printer to anyone that has fun taking and developing pictures.

This is a good printer when it works. It does not reliably feed paper, despite trying a variety of brands and weights. The wireless connection drops, even with the computer in the same room. I've tried to work with it for 3 months, now I'm shopping for a replacement.

This printer was an upgrade from a printer from another manufacturer. Set up was super easy; good looking printer, & the touch screen makes all those control buttons on the front unncessary, which I really like. Really like being able to print directly from the memory card. Print quality is excellent IMO. Very satisfiedl with my purchase.

Purchased for the wireless capability and to work from home, The problem is if you are using a VPN via a secure ID, your dead in the water, so you have set the cables up. This should have been disclosed prior to purchase Outside the VPN, it is a fatastic printer

I purchased the D7460 as a replacement for my aging Photosmart 8450, thinking that I would be buying a printer that would be comarable in quality to the 8450. It's close, there are some very disappointing differences. First off, I had to adjust the color balance because my pictures were coming out yellow - or rather, skintones were coming out looking yellow, and I can't have my 3 month old baby looking jaundiced!. Additionally, this photo printer has some trouble with graininess - I tried many things to make this go away - several different resolution settings and such - but always the same result. It may not be that bad, but compared to the 8450 it is disappointing. I should point out that I print on the HP Premium and Premium Plus papers only. So, as it is, I am thinking this one is going back. And that's frustrating because I can't find another printer that has everything I want in a printer like this one, but at the end of the day it's quality that rules and this one just doesn't cut it. Is there any chance this could be fixed with drivers or something, or is it an inherent problem with the printer? Anyone know where I could pick up a new 8450? HP, any chance you would release them again?

I upgraded from an HP 6122. I bought primarily for the 802.11 connection. (I wanted to place it across the room and did not want to string a cable over to it) At first, i was shocked by the cartridges. there are 6 of them. each one cost around $10 each!!then i was concerned that after the intial setup, it tested itself for over 5 minutes. After the intial shocks and concerns, all I can say is "WOW". This printer is fantastic. I was pleased with the 6122, but upgrading to this printer was a very good decision. the software that came with it is really nice too. I printed around 50 4x6 pictures and checked the ink use and it appears that none of the little ink wells even were used. If this is any indication of how long the ink will last, this printer is going to be a keeper for along time. The wifi works perfect. it is very fast. I like it alot. I can print a 4x6 picture in under 45 seconds.

This is my third printer, second HP, and by all means, my best. Very easy to install, and start printing. I can not tell copies that I made from this printer, from the professional ones we paid big money for.

I bought this printer primarily for its wireless network connectivity. I was also interested in the ability to print photos directly from my memory cards. Because it is wireless I can put is anywhere. The touch screen interface works well. As long as you use HP photo paper, your prints will be beautiful. I tried some no-name 4 by 6 paper and the results were bad. Did I mention that it is wireless?

Being a graphic art student I have used many different printers for my work. This printer is by far the best I have encountered. My last printer was a Brother 420CN… the word substandard goes well beyond sugar coating what a piece of junk it was. For one thing the 420CN would hardly ever connect through a network, something that the D7460 does with ease. It was the built in wireless that sold me. It was quite simple to install it and within minutes it was up and running. As for print quality there was no comparison. The D7460 nuked my old 420CN. I once took my art to a print shop for printing but even this printer has better quality than the professional shop printers. However I will state this. It says prints as fast as 10 seconds well guess what? It’s not as good as you think. It takes more than 13 seconds but at that speed the photos look grainy. At max DPI setting you will get photos at about 32 seconds and they are 1000 times more crisp and clear than the 10 second photos. Now here’s the most interesting of facts about this printers and its inks. They seem to last forever. I have printed about 20 small 4x6’s and four 8x10’s and the levels are still at 100 percent. At first I thought it was broken but when I talked to my friends who have the same printer they told me that they experience the same thing. My old 420CN would have been half full by that time. As for the touch screen it makes printing so much easier. Take simple and then simplify it. LOL yeah that’s about what it does. Add in the multicard reader and you got the best printer money could buy. This is a great printer and its worth every penny.

Fantastic! Best color printer I've ever used and I have used many models over the 30 years I've been in the computer business. Since I got a great price on this and the wireless networking capability was a throw-in I am exstatic over my purchase.
