VERY MISLEADING

I have used this product many times with great success. HOWEVER, in 2011 when I purchased 3 boxes of this product for a large newsletter print job for a client, I was in total shock. The paper did not look the same, feel the same or print the same as the previous version. The print was not as clear as it was on the previous product with the same product number. Also, there were many paper jambs and many instances of multiple sheet pick up. I ended up throwing away half of my paper because it was rendered unusable and I was using a brand new HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 all-in-one printer. (Yes, I did try another paper and it worked just fine.) If you are going to change a paper product, don't use the same product number. Your customers have a right to expect the same quality they have become accustomed to each time they purchase that product. Your new product is very misleading in that it is nothing like the previous version. The new Q5449A paper is not a "Premium Presentation Paper." It is not "Ideal for presentations, proposals, reports & newsletters." It does not provide "vibrant colors, sharper text". And it does not result in "impressive presentations". I did not "Save up to 50% over copy shops" because I had to throw half of the paper away. I will never purchase this paper again. I will tell all my clients to never purchase this paper. It is so unfortunate that you cannot rely on HP paper working in an HP printer.

Best paper for papercrafting!

I first purchased this paper for paper craft projects when I had my old printer. When I purchase my new printer (an Epson), I purchased Epson paper as recommended. However that paper was not delivering a crisp image. I then tried the HP paper in my new printer and was amazed at the difference! Bright, crisp colors and images and the black especially is deeper and truer. This paper is perfect for paper crafting!

Not really what I wanted

Your product is excellent, but I had specifically requested a low gloss paper; stated clearly I did NOT want matte. This paper is matte, and although it performs beautifully in the printer, it doesn't produce the effect I wanted. I am disappointed that you don't have a high quality, low gloss paper for the Officejet Pro. Jonnie

Poor Images and Performance

I have used 32# Premium Presentation Paper FOR YEARS for booklets that our business gives to new clients. About a year or two ago, under the same name, weight and white specs, HP changed this paper DRASTICALLY. I have never worked with anything as frustrating as this paper. My new HP printer does not process this paper well.....it picks up multiple pages erratically that totally puts the pages (two-sided, collated) out of sync. The resulting paper waste is a sin. Processing these brochures is now very time consuming. The images printed in brochure and best modes are fair, not bright and sharp edged as they were before. Why in the world would you make a paper for your printers that is subpar and that your printer can not handle effectively? My experiences over the past year with this product are making me rethink my choice of printer manufacturers. This is a disappointment for a company that I had nothing but great experiences with prior to the past 3 years between the actual printer performances and now supporting supplies.

Disappointed with Quality

This 32 lb. weight paper was not appropriate to use for printing brochures, presentation formats, or posters. It was quite flimpsy and not the stock that I was previously satisfied with. Honestly I do not know what changed - just not a "hold up" product for what I needed.

Luxury Paper

This is an excellent high-quality paper with a very desirable matte finish. It is heavy weight which makes it perfect for special printing like posters and greeting catrds..

Excellent Paper

I own HP 5600. I love this Presentation Paper. This is the best paper that I have used for this printer. It seems pricey compared to what you would get at Office stores, but well worth the price.

Product has changed

I still have some of the old HP Presentation Paper 120g product #Q5449A. The new packaging has same numbers but paper is nothing like the old--terrible quality, am returning. HP needs to change the product number so other customers are not mislead into thinking they are ordering what used to be a premium product. I won't be using HP paper from now on.

So disappointed!

I used to love the Q5449A HP Presentation Paper 120g Matte-32lb-98 Brightness. What happened? Using the same Product Number you are substituting a terrible product. Please go back to the old paper. I compared the two different packages, with the same Product Number, today and am so disappointed; I cannot use this paper. The colors are just awful. I produce maps and the new stuff is unacceptable. HP, you had a +10 product before this switch; I recommended it to everyone. Can you suggest an alternative?

Worst Paper Ever

For several years I used HP Premium Presentation Paper to produce press kits for an entertainer I work for. I still have 2 packs on hand. Because I'm getting low, I went to Staples to get more, but only found that in the black box. I purchased one box but promptly returned it because it noticeably is NOT the same paper. It is thicker and coarser; absolutely awful. I purchased some from an ebay seller who displayed the same packaging as what I have on hand and expected to receive. He shipped bulk HP Presentation Paper (not premium) that was the same as what I got from Staples in the black box. I had a very unpleasant exchange with him when I requested a refund. He insisted that it was the same, but it clearly was not. I even sent him a sheet of the Premium I have on hand to enlighten him on the difference. I will not be using the new version; it just does not live up to the original.

It used to be great

When I opened the box, I thought that I had ordered the wrong product, but no, the UPC was the same, as was the weight, etc. For some reason though the brightness was not listed. Strange, because it seems bright enough. The paper doesn't have the same feel and look that the old paper had and I don't think it would be as nice for a presentation. Maybe I wouldn't have been so disappointed if I hadn't expected the same product I have used in the past. I am a button maker and I want good color, but the feel of the paper is not as important to me since buttons are covered with mylar. So far, I have no problem with the color vibrancy, I definitely prefer the old paper, but this is okay and I don't know of any other paper I'd recommend so I reluctantly recommend it.

BRING BACK THE OLD PAPER!!!

I'll add my displeasure to the rest of the reviews. I used the old version of this paper and was delighted with the performance. I bought a bunch more for a large job I had and was really dismayed to see the paper had changed - rougher surface, not really a true matte finish - basically just heavy weight ordinary paper. I never had a jam with the old paper. This stuff jams or triggers an out-of-paper signal about every 5 pages so now I have to babysit the printer. It's terrible paper. I used 1/2 a package and returned the rest. Now I'm searching for another brand. HP - you really blew it on this one!

Horrible substitute for presentation paper

I can't believe this was sold under the same product number as what I had previously purchased and loved! The original was smooth, bright, crisp and PROFESSIONAL. This 'new' paper is grainy, dull, bulky and UNprofessional! Even though it feels thicker, It soaks ink and curls like plain 20 lb. copy paper. It is not suitable for double-sided color copies. When I bought cases of this months ago and stored it for a big project to be started now, I was too busy to notice anything different than the packaging. I'm sure sorry I didn't inspect it back then, because at least I would have had time to return it and shop for something else. Now I'm in a terrible bind.

Bring back the other paper!

I recently received a shipment of this "presentation" paper that was NOT the same presentation paper that I always receive from HP (same product number, but suddenly an entirely different, poorer quality paper). The other presentation was absolutely perfect! I would have purchased that paper for years to come. But now, I have to go search for other inkjet presentation paper because this new paper is not of presentation quality. It feels and looks like regular, everyday 32 lb. paper. HP, PLEASE BRING BACK THE OTHER PRESENTATION PAPER!!!!

Used to be best paper

Until I read the reviews I thought I was seeing things. I new that there was definitely a difference in the texture of this paper. I am disappointed that they would cut back on the quality. The Q5449A is what I have been using and getting excellent results. "You can change the wrapping, but you cannot change the quality".

Was great - new product is terrible!

I have been using the HP premium presentation paper for the past few years. It was a great product (best I could find) but has recently been changed to a new product in a black box. The texture and appearance, print quality and overall performance is a dramatic departure from the old product (the old product was wrapped in plastic - blue with a green banner and was really great paper). I hope to find a suitable replacement and hope that HP will bring the old product back. I can't imagine I will be the only one disappointed with the new product - it is very low quality and even jams my printer.

Looks great - feeds poorly

The previous manifestation of this paper was item number Q5449A. I used it to print several hundred copies of a newsletter at a time. It was beautiful and fed perfectly. The only flaw was that the surface was a bit wavy. This replacement version is perfectly flat so it looks better, but they changed the coating so that it no longer feeds well in my printers. I've had this problem with other matte papers in the past. Now I have to see if I can scan the globe for any Q5449A left or I'm doomed to babysit my printers. The reason I still recommend this product is that if you are only printing a small number of copies it's great paper. And even if you were using it for large jobs, I haven't found anything better, but a lot worse!

New Product not up to par

The old HP Q5449A (the one packaged like the picture) was the best you could buy. The colors were crisp, clear, and jumped out at you. This new product with the same item number, comes in a black box. It has no protective plastic wrapping to keep moisture out, the paper just rattles around in the box, corners get mussed. The print quality is just not the same. The old box said "print shop quality" the new box says "copy shop quality." That just about says it all. I'm currently looking for new paper. HP has their name on this paper but its MY name that is on the finished product and this new paper does NOT meet my standards.
