OUT OF STOCK?
Likely off the market because of it's inability to function, EVEN with latest HP desktop/software! See the Forum pages on HD-4110 to KNOW. I suspect so many "wonderful" comments for this product is inserted from HP itself - for a solid year and three days of attempts with HP phone 'support' and HP email support, ALL instructions lead you to believe that up is down and their very own HP desktop is at fault! Webcam/software never worked and until warranty was over, never admitted.

If the HD4110 was great while it worked
This Cam is full featured and easy to install The software is intuitive and supported my 3 other cams that were alredy installed on my PC. I would recommend this Web Cam / Software package if I could be sure that I got one of the few lemons. After about 5hrs of operation my win7 OS no longer recognized the web cam HD4110 and would load a no name webcam driver. Thsi looks like a hardware issue thus far. The Up side HP has top notch Customer support and has responded to my support request while writing this review.

Surprisingly Easy
The last time I set up a web cam was back in dial up days, and the struggle to get it to work back then was incredible.
This web cam is EASY and works without any problems at all . It has a built in Microphone, the focus auto adjusts, and it works with a variety of programs. I have use the ArcSoft program it comes with, Skype and Ventrillo (audio only) with surprising ease.
It has a neat hook that allow it to rest on the flat panel screen quite nicely.

Very Good WebCam Purchase
I purchased this webcam in November of 2011 to use with Skype on a Windows 7 iCore5 worksation. Works great - easy to setup, some configuration to do if you would like to get a "perfect" picture - I was more than satisfied with defaults out of box. Be sure to install the software FIRST then the webcam (like virtually all other USB devices). Works great with Skype - I removed my external mic since this has a built-in mic (which is excellent and has noise cancelling).

Works with Linux
I bought this webcam on sale, somewhat on a whim based solely on the specs that said "Yes" for UVC support. I've tried, and failed, many times in the past to get a webcam that will work with Linux. This one actually delivered on that. I plugged it in, and it "just works." Of course under Linux I cannot use the quick-access buttons to automatically launch (Windows) software, but I'm happy that it works at all.
The only downside on this thing, for me, is the mounting mechanism -- it's kinda quirky and doesn't work quite as well as I'd like. I can "get by" with it, but it could use some improvement for versatility on more stable mounting options.

Great Product
Great Webcam, Easy to install - just plugged it in and drivers (Win XP) installs itself! Within a few minutes, ready to use. Good picture quality with autofocus. Nice design too and would probably get another one for my family.

Very clear picture
Very clear picture but you need to adjust the quality in the settings of the program that comes on CD. This will NOT work on Samsung 3D 55 inch TV because it requires drivers, so if you have a Skype App on TV it will NOT detect this camera. Works great with Skype on my laptop though!

Software Glitch with webcam
the webcam either had problems with the sound or the video when using with Skype, A call to Hp service told me the webcam software had a glitch & they were working on it. I returned the webcam.

Best multi media ever
I am deaf and use the webcam to communicate with my deaf friends via videophone. I had been using a cheaper webcam but the pictures would be a little blurry. This is clear and precise. I am really happy with it.

Difficult to setup
This is my fourth webcam. The first three were Logitech products. The setup for those three webcams was very easy as compared to this webcam. I realize it is more difficult because it has a ton of features my other webcams did not offer, but the on screen prompts and instructions are somewhat hidden in the menus, making it difficult to just "load and go".
As far as the picture quality and the wide angle, I love this webcam. The HD quality is top notch.
Just realize you need to be patient (or a heck of a lot more technically savoy than me) when setting this webcam up.

Glad I purchased
Few reviews on this camera, but after talking to the HP rep, she understood my needs and reassured me this camera would meet them and was suitable for my system. Simple installation. Arcsoftware is easy to understand and remember to exit arcsoftware when using Skype. Video quality is equal to face to face meeting. Having fun and finding it extremely useful tool for work.
