Ikelite Underwater Video Housing for the Sony HDR-HC-3 HDV Handycam Camcorder

Molded of clear polycarbonate to provide seamless construction and corrosion proof performance. This "Clearly Superior" design provides full view of the camcorder, control functions, and back "O" ring seal for assurance the system is safe.

The Sony HDR HC3 and housing are so small they are an absolute delight to use. A complete housing and camera combination weighs approximately 4kg (9 pounds). Housing has a working depth of 60m (200')

The housing with base and handles measures 27cm (11") width; 20cm (8") height; 20cm (8") length.

The camera's LCD monitor can be viewed from the rear of the housing, using the External Mirror featured on the side of the housing. Open the camera's LCD monitor, rotate 180 degrees, and then press it back against the side of the camera before installation. The external mirror is hinged so that it can be opened to reflect the image from the camera's LCD monitor.

This housing includes (IRC) Image Reversing Circuitry. The circuit reverses (flips) the image and text on the LCD screen so that when the image is reflected in the External Mirror, it appears correct left-to-right.

Controls for the Camera Control Dial/Manual Button and the LCD Screen Touch Pad provide full access to setting white balance and white balance shift.

The housing port is threaded allowing the use of optional 67mm threaded wide-angle conversion lens available from Inon or Epoque.

The Base removes instantly with a unique toggle clamp for traveling or attaching of the optional Pro Video-Lite II battery pack. Thehandle assembly detaches from the housing by removal of just two nuts for packing.
