Two 12-24 threaded mounts on the bottomof the housing allow for the secure attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories.
• 6.8" wide x 5" high x 5.5" deep ( including controls and lens port ).
Weight • 2.9lbs (1.3kg) above water.
• Neutrally buoyant underwater.
Camera's Built-in Flash.
An included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective between 1-3 feet (0.3-0.9m) from the subject in clear conditions. For best results an external underwater strobe is recommended.
External Color Filters.
Color filters replace some of the reds, oranges and more natural tones that would otherwise be lost underwater. Effective in relatively shallow, sunny conditions. Available as #6441.46 for tropical blue water and #6441.86 for use in green water settings. For optimum results use in combination with manual white balance (see camera user guide for informa tion on setting custom white balance).
External Underwater Strobes.
Ikelite strobes are much more powerful, recycle more quickly, and eliminate more backscatter than the camera's built-in flash. Don't settle for flat, blue-green images. Use the AutoFlash AF35 for easy automatic exposure. Or add an optional DS Substrobe with EV Manual Controller for more power and wider angle of coverage. For the best results in all conditions.
Pro-V8 LED Video Lite.
For additional lighting when using the camera's movie mode and to aid in focus. For use with or without a color filter.
External Wide Angle Option.
The WD-4 Wide Angle Conversion Dome corrects for refractive magnification to provide the camera's full angle of coverage underwater. The conversion dome may be removed and replaced underwater and requires no modification to the housing's standard port.
Other external wide angle lenses by Ikelite, Inon, Epoque and other manufacturers are not usable with this camera at this time.
External Macro Adapter.
Optional adapter #9306.82 (MSRP $50) slides over the front of the lens port and allows for the attachment of 67mm threaded macro lenses from Inon and Epoque. The adapter may be removed and replaced underwater and requires no modification to the housing's standard lens port. Macro lens not available for purchase through Ikelite.
Not for use with 67mm threaded wide angle lenses.
The Nikon Coolpix S9300 Digital Camera (Black) is born to travel--with you.
A 16MP CMOS sensor and a sharp 18x Nikkor 25-450mm (equivalent in 35mm format) in a tiny (2.5x4.3x1.3"/6.2x10.8x3.06cm) and featherweight (7.6 oz/214g) body = the ultimate compact travel camera.
The CMOS sensor gives you greatly improved low-light performance and reduced noise and the 25-450mm lens can easily handle any situation you encounter, from ultra wide-angle landscape to portraits to unapproachable wildlife. Optical VR image stabilization keeps your photos rock solid, without any shaking or blurring, even using the longest telephoto settings, or in low-light, slow shutter speed situations.
The high-resolution 921K-dot 3" monitor is crisp and clear, for composing and reviewing your images. Dazzling full 1080p HD video with stereo sound will bring your memories back in pristine condition (you can even take a still photo while shooting video). And the S9300 knows how to turn even dicey lighting situations into great images, with modes like Night Landscape, Night Portrait and Backlighting HDR. A built-in neutral density filter gives you even greater latitude in daylight shooting.
Built-in GPS records your shooting locations and tracks the route you take. A map displays your current location while shooting, plus Points of Interest (POI) locations--an electronic compass displays the camera's orientation when the photo was taken and records the location for viewing later on your computer.
17 Scene modes provide optimal settings for common photographic subjects. In-camera processing offers you lots of creative choices without using image-processing software: filter effects like Nostalgic Sepia; High-Contrast Monochrome; Selective Color; High Key; Low Key; and Soft Effect; the ability to crop and re-size photos in-camera; D-Lighting for improving high-contrast scenes; and skin softening for improved portraits. The EXPEED C2 processor delivers improved image quality and processing speed. So, wherever you go with the S9300, there you are--ready to bring back great images, no matter what the conditions.
