Love Lexar 16GB 800x

I've been a long time Lexar user. I've tried others over the years, but I've had card failures with every company I've tried but Lexar. Maybe it's just my bad luck, I don't know. In any case, for the money, I think this particular size and speed is a great value. I have 4 16gb 800x and 4 8GB 400x. They both keep up just fine with fairly heavy shooting on my Nikon D4. I'm not shooting sports, but I am firing off a lot of 5-10 image bursts in quick succession at 50-70 weddings a year, and I've ...

I'm not shooting sports, but I am firing off a lot of 5-10 image bursts in quick succession at 50-70 weddings a year, and I've never hit the buffer with these 16 gig cards. If I were in fact doing sports or something that required long mash-that-shutter-button bursts until you can't shoot anymore, I would probably go for something like the 1000x or better. Maybe even jump into XQD territory. But for everything short of heavy journalism or sports work, this has been great for me. Would recommend highly. I receive no kickbacks, stipends, or compensation of any kind from any companies mentioned above. Just a hard working guy who likes toys.

Happy Lexar customer

By

Good price and speed. Takes a beating and keeps working. Great service replacing the occasional card that goes bad too. Not eager to go much larger (this holds 200 Nikon D800 RAW images) to keep things moving quickly when importing a shoot.

Great Deal

I just bought a Canon 5d II and was in need of a CompactFlash Card. I never used Lexar before but Adorama had a special. I'm glad I took the chance. The card is very sturdy and very fast to upload. I would not hesitate to buy this brand over Sandisk. At this time I do not have anything negative to say about this brand or their CompactFlash card.

Very Reliable Compact Flash Cards

By

from Denver  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

I use these in my Canon 5D MarkIII and I have never had any problems with them This is the first time I have purchased the 16GB (8 GB is what I usually get) so I will be able to get more pictures on them. The read and write speeds are as advertised and I would absolutely buy these again.

Great Card.

I don't have a single complaint about this card. I use it with a Nikon D-700 and it works great. It's the fastest card I own thus far and it works great.

By

I've always used Lexar Compact Flash cards, and never had an issue with them. So far this one is no different. I especially like the 800X speed & 16 GB capacity when shooting large files. Highly recommended.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Will this work with a D200?
LISA R  Yes it should! I have a Nikon D300, D300s and it works great in those!
Shopper  for the Lexar Professional 800x 16 GB compact flash card what does the UDMA7 mean ?
JOE M  UDMA 7, which stands for Ultra Direct Mode Access 7, is the latest transfer mode under the UDMA interface. UDMA 7 allows a maximum transfer rate of up to 167MB/sec. The device (eg, a camera) must be UDMA 7 capable to take advantage of the increased speed capability; otherwise, the card will operate at the device's slower speed. However, the device is only half of the picture. A fast card reader can take advantage of the card's speed when transferring data to a computer.
Steve B  Will this card work for a D700 ?
JOSEPH S  As far as I know, it will do a great job for your images. I am using them in my D800 and they work just fine.
