Fastest Card around!

The Lexar 1000x is quite frankly one of fastest, if not THE fastest, cards around. Ron Galbraith's card rankings have all variations of this card taking the top spot for the Nikon D800 which is one of the reasons I purchased this card over the SanDisk Extreme Pro. In my Kingston USB 3.0 card reader, I get the following read/write speeds from Crystal DiskMark 3: Sequential: 142.6 MB/s Read 117.5 MB/s Write 512K: 66.69 MB/s Read 42.85 MB/s Write 4K: 5.514 MB/s Read 1.968 MB/s Write...

NOT worth it. Card failed w/in 100 shots

Bought this card for a 5D3 because of it's rated speed. Worked fine at first- VERY fast saves, very fast transfer via USB 3.0... Then at a critical moment-- for a perfect shot, 5D3 comes up with an error- "Card unrecognized, please re-format" or some such-- to make a long story short, lost all the images on that card, could not reformat in camera, and no matter what we tried, card would not work in the camera at all.

Good performance and reliability

They do what CF cards are supposed to do. They reliably store image files. I use these with a Canon 5D Mk III and they capably handled shooting a series of raw files in high speed burst mode. Have never had a failure of a lexar card.

Reliable CF Card

By

from Brooklyn, NY  -  Semi-Professional

I use these cards in two of my DSLRs. I sometimes leave the cards in my cameras or my computer for weeks. Sometimes I forget to format before each shoot. Every time I use this CF card, I never have a problem. I have never lost files or had an issue with the four of these that I own.
