Great [...]

I used this on my Nikon D80, just after the Nikon warranty had expired. [...] It more than paid for itself the first time. I also have one for my Garmin GPS, used it twice, and got the same great service. Turnaround time for both items was about 10 days, door to door. I won't be without a Mack Camera Warranty on any expensive electronics/camera equipment, especially not at Adorama's prices!

No frills and excellent service

My camera had stopped functioning. I was on vacation, and luckily I had a second camera body with me. I called. They did what they could to resolve it over the phone. No go. Mack had me send it to them, and it was returned to my home about 10 or 12 days later. To me, that was FAST! They paid shipping one direction and it had been cleaned and I've had no problems with it since. I recommend a warranty and Mack to most of the people who ask me for advice on what camera, etc. they should get.

Too Much Psychodrama

By

I was sent the wrong coverage for the Nikon Camera I purchased from Adoroma that was valued at about half of what the Camera I purchased was worth. Had I not attempted to register it immediately I would not have discovered it was the wrong package for the product. Despite the fact that I called Adoroma the same did my intial warranty did not go through they have a policy that says you cannot recieve the correct warranty until the old one is returned. Since you only have 30 days to register a warrantry on a new camera from "Mack" I almost missed the deadline for doing so. I think this is a bad policy on the part of Andorma and Mack

Takes the worry out of taking photos

By

Having used Mack on previous purchases I considered it a must for all cameras. When my college age daughter's point and shoot was damaged by dropping Mack repaired it to lke new condition, and the turn around time was very quick. Peace of mind for short money.

Gives you filling that you are covered but... From my real correspondence with them. Before bye: Hi Sony nex-5n for some units have clicking issue out of the box. Someting inside the body clicks and it perfectly recorded to audio track. Sony recognises this as an problem. I live in Israel where sony does not have service center to fix it. I want to buy this model does yours warrenty includes fixing the issue if I would receive unit with such defect? thanks. =========================================================== Dear ****, As long as its a defect it would be covered. If there is not a service center it would have to come into our facility and you would be responsible for shipping fees both ways. ============================================= After Bye: 2 weeks ago I bought Sony nex 5n camera with mack warranty type 1016. My warranty number is ******. When I shoot by it I see some dark marks as on video that I attach. I try to clean lens and lens and sensors looks perfectly clean, but the marks stays constant. Does it covered by warranty and how I can fix it? thanks a lot ================================================= Hello ******, Thank you for your email. In order to have a valid MACK warranty, your unit must come with atleast a 90 day manufacturer/dealer warranty. If you should need service within the first 90 days, you must contact the manufacturer/dealer directly. Since you stated your unit is only two weeks old, please contact the manufacturer or dealer regarding your defective unit. They should be repairing or replacement the unit. Thank you, ====================================================== I live in Israel, and it is a lot of mony to send item back. For this reason I bought the warranty!!!!

Safety Net

I bought his warrenty because this camera has moving parts and complex electronics. I usually don't buy such plans but I decided that the cost was low and the protection could be needed even thugh I don't think I'll ever need it with Canon.

Worth it

By

After doing much research on Mack Camera service quality I went ahead with the 5 year warranty. Well worth the insurance.

A Little Peace of Mind

By

Purchased this coverage when I bought my Ricoh GXR body in October, 2010. So far, haven't had to use it, but the manufacturer's warranty has expired and it's nice to know I'm covered for the next 4 years. As far as cost goes, it was a bargain!

With todays digital world and electronics still having the habit of not working after manufacturer warranty. I have learned the lesson that this this is not stardard operation for me.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  does this cover Refurbish product?
ALBERT S  A detailed look at their warranty shown it to be one of the best available. Do not know if it covers refurbished equipment as I have only bought "new" equipment (have a collection of fully operational equipment that I'll never anymore use and when time allows I'll trade in for credit on new equipment - eg: Sony's Long zoom for my Fantastic NEX-5 ) and so far have been very lucky that none of my camera equipment has broken. If it comes to notebook computers I have much experience with failures/repairs/good&bad extended warranties and if you are interested would be happy to share as my very busy schedule allows.
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JENIFER P  Much more reasonable price than comparable sites.
Alon L  I bought the Nikon D7100 on November 29th 2013 on Amazon. Can I buy a MACK worldwide warranty and register my camera?
ANNE W  If you bought the camera brand new, and have a receipt showing that (the camera is still under manufacturer warranty, right?) then yes, I would think you could buy the warranty with no problem. If you are not sure, you could always call Mack - easy to google them. Anne
