I have used this strap on my D800 with the 70-300 4.5-5.6 IF ED lens twice and for no longer than 2 hours each time. By the end of my time carrying the camera and lens around my neck with it, the strap starts hurting my neck. It is no where near wide enough nor does it have enough padding needed to support the weight of the camera and a good quality lens if you are walking around outside shooting. You would think that for the money you pay for the D800/800e that Nikon would give you a pro grade strap for it and not the cheap strap this is. This strap is what you expect to come with the D3100 or 5100, not a pro line camera. I carry my camera by hand now until I find another strap that is more comfortable.
