A wolf in sheeps clothing!

from Charlotte, NC  -  Photo Enthusiast

This camera has exceeded my expectations so far. I work with a group of professional photographers from time to time and when I showed up with my new Coolpix P500, they were like vultures trying to get their hands on it. I got a lot of "wow" and "my DSLR can't even do that" comments from the pro's. The proof is in the quality of what you shoot though and so far my colors have been quite accurate and vivid and the pics look truly Hi-Def. If you don't need to work with RAW images or require a hotshoe, this camera is loaded with enough professional goodies to make even a group of pro's drool! This camera does a decent job with image stabilization at high zoom but like with any camera, the more you zoom the more apt you are to encounter shake so a tripod is always your best friend on those occasions. Do your homework and then visit a store to take your own test drive. Your needs will vary from everyone else's but for what I wanted and needed, this Nikon gave me the most bang for my buck. Dealing with Adorama was simple, fast and painless. I will definitely do business with Adorama for future purchases!
