You really have to see the Nikon COOLPIX S01 to believe it. Exquisitely compact, remarkably stylish, it will turn heads and start conversations every time you use it. But the COOLPIX S01 isn't just about looks it's a feature-richNikon COOLPIX camera that captures equally exquisite photos and HD videos with minimal effort.
The Nikon COOLPIX S01 will fit your pocket and your life, which means you won't hesitate to grab it every time you leave the house. Just slip it in your pocket or purse and hit the road. When the moment strikes, pull it out, capture the action and then show it off (along with the beautiful photos or HD video you just shot). You'll love the COOLPIX S01 simple touchscreen interface, which makes it easy to swipe through your photos and HD videos, adjust the camera settings, add creative effects and more.
This camera is so small you may think of it as a toy, but actually it takes very high qality pictures. The only drawback is that the LCD focusing panel washes out in bright sunlight and picture framing and composition is guesswork. This is a problem with almost all point and shoot cameras as very few cameras have viewfinders today. The built in battery may make a very expensive repair someday. I would prefer a removeable battery and removeablle memory card even if it meant the camera would have to be a little larger. Even with its faults this is a FUN camera and I am keeping it!
The Nikon Coolpix S01 is just that cool, cute and compact! Don't be fooled it takes a powerful picture and video too! I'm not a professional, and I find it difficult to use a camera with a lot of bells and whistles. This camera is easy to use and the photos are FANTASTIC!
Simple touch screen menus give quick access to a few features quickly. There is nothing pro about this camera but it's easy to take with you, has a decent zoom and enough adaptability to get some good shots.
The camera seemed to have been a good buy overall until it showed the same error message 3 times in the first month. A red exclamation mark showed up and didn't allow me to take or view pictures. After looking in the manual, in forums, and on the Nikon websites, I found nothing about the error message and ended up returning the camera.
My daughter now has an easy way to make a photo diary of her new baby son!
