I bought this camera for my 12-year-old son, who has autism and LOVES taking pictures and videos (and then watching them back) of the things he likes. He has been through a lot of cheap digital cameras that have not lasted, all well known brand names and some better than others. He is not physically hard on them (he doesn't drop them a lot or leave outside, etc.) but they get USED constantly. There are some significant things about this Nikon model that have made it the best so far. - Very well built and sturdy, without being a heavy duty model. On past models, small things like battery doors and charging ports break over time. This Nikon seems better in that regard. - When you watch the video back on the camera, it has sound (internal speaker). This was HUGE for my son, since he often likes to record video, watch it right away, and then delete it. It was a very hard feature to find, and not advertised specifically on this model... we just got lucky. - Rechargeable battery included (you won't be burning through AA or AAA batteries), and the battery will charge when plugged into the computer or other USB power source. On other cameras, sometimes the battery has to be removed and plugged into an external charger... after doing this 100 times per month, the battery door and internal springs and clips tend to weaken and break. Not a problem here. - Uses standard SD card, cheap and easy to find. Easy transfer to/from computer devices with the included cable, no need to remove the memory card often (so cover/springs/clips are not being weakened from common movement, as mentioned above with the camera). - Focus, flash recharging, and actual photo snapping is quick. Some cheap models I've owned take FOREVER to autofocus and/or have to think really hard (lag time) in between photos. This one works just like it should in all modes, considering its price. - Even with the multiple modes, it's easy to use for kids or adults. Has the typical Auto mode so you don't really need to change settings for general photography. We've had this Nikon about 2 months now, it's been used often, and no complaints as mentioned earlier. Recommended for the general picture-taker, and I will probably buy another one for my other son who is 8 and a budding filmmaker... with Lego action movies anyway!

Small pocket size, seems to work well. Picked up one for my daughter as her first camera. Menu is easy to navigate and pictures seem to be good. Zoom is nice for a 6x.

Bought this for not-necessarily-tech savvy family members, and they love it. Easy to use, intuitive controls. They like the ease of going between video and photos and that playback of both is so easy. The only thing I wish were different were that it were drop-proof. This is their second due to dropping on hard surface. Maybe a Nerf cover??

Nikon is one of the best brands for cameras and i bought this camera as a gift to my sister.She will be using it for family events and I am pretty sure that she will love it. Item is pretty easy to carry around and simple to use. I like the fact that optical zoom is 6X not 4X(which most of similar cameras have). Only thing that i am a bit concerned is LCD display it doesn't show the taken pictures as good as they seem on the computer or TV. I am pretty confident about the item being refurbished.Because the Nikon itself fixed whatever the problem is. Thank You

We are using mostly outdoor point and shoot Nikon CoolPix S3200 Refurbished camera. It's best for taking quick pictures. Some time low-lighting the camera focus is not good and pics are very dark. But outdoor it's working very good. I definitely recommand this camera.

I got this camera for my brother who just got a baby. I got them this camera becasue it is easy to use (so they dont need to mess around with the setting), small (easy to carry everywhere) and cheap (not worry about it got knocked around, fell down or even went missing). I play with it a little before sending it their way and very please with it for it's intended purposes.

Found the camera on sale and purchased 2. One for me and one for my daughter. I love the ease of use. She loves the features. Her favorite is the color selector. I have gotten some great compliments on photos taken with this camera. No complaints.
