  • Nikon's amazing Easy Panorama mode allows you to pan the camera in any direction as it automatically detects, combines and assembles your shots into one seamless panoramic image
  • With Night Landscape mode, capture high quality images at night. It shoots a series of consecutive shots and composes them into a single, brilliant image. Night Portrait mode takes outdoor portraits against bright backgrounds and combines multiple shots to capture the essence of night scenes

While the Coolpix S9100 can capture 100 of memorable still images for you to easily print and save, its moviemaking features bring a safari, ski trip, cruise, or balloon ride to life
  • One touch of the movie recording button and you'll be shooting 1080p HD movies complete with stereo sound. Plus, optical zoom & auto focus functions will bring you close to the action. You can even shoot still images while recording movies, or experiment with special effects like fast or slow motion
  • When the time comes to share your movies, simply use the in-camera playback feature or the convenient HDMI-CEC output for quick hookup to an HDTV or computer
  • When traveling on an exotic adventure, you can't afford missed photo opportunities. You'll find Nikon's Motion Detection feature to be important because it identifies moving objects and automatically adjusts shutter speed and ISO to assure crisp, blur free images
  • Nikon's Best Shot Selector automatically takes up to 10 shots and saves the sharpest image. ISO speeds up to 3200 will help you capture great shots in low-light. Blinking eyes and red-eye can ruin portraits. That's why the Coolpix S9100 includes Blink Warning
  • It offers in-camera Red-Eye Fix that automatically corrects red-eye as you shoot and Skin Softening that smoothes skin tones
  • The Coolpix S9100 also has Macro Shooting for shooting as close as 1.6 inches. And, when you're in remote regions, you'll appreciate the camera's 270-shot rechargeable Li-ion battery

Terribly disappointed

I have used Nikons for years, both compact point and shoots to DSLRs. This camera disappointed from the get-go. It is almost impossible to get a sharp image from it. It is slow to focus and many shots remain out of focus. I wasn't expecting a complex camera, this one is pretty easy to use, but if it can't get a photo in focus, it isn't worth much.

Lenses do not close when you turn off the camera

By

I owned many cameras before. Nikon S9100 was the best by far in its category. I purchased it in February 2012 and it broke around or after September 19th. It didn't even last a year. First lenses, when closing started making weird sound and then didn't close at all. There is not a chance that something could get into them. As well this item never took a hit or was dropped. I think I bought a defective camera. Thinking of replacing it with similar item from Sony.

Blurry Pictures

By

This camera is terrible!!! For every 10 pictures I take, only 1 or 2 will come out clear. I expected much more from Nikon and they will not issue a refund. Save your money and do NOT buy this camera!

Great pictures - just point and shoot

By

A great point and shoot camera. I take a lot of pictures/videos of my Golden Retriever and the many deer that visit my backyard. Quality is excellent, camera is easy to use, and small enough to fit into my coat pocket. The only camera you'll every need.

Perfect for exactly what I needed!!!

By

I have several cameras, some very expensive, and needed something that was compact to use for European travel that would fit my needs. Researched many models but Nikon has always been my camera of choice. The Coolpix S9100 is perfect!

Excellent travel zoom

By

This little camera only lacks of manual adjustments( exposure/speed priority), but I believe most negative reviews are people who didn't read the manual, it has several features and options to get excellent pictures and the zoom is awsome (obviously zoom compromises sharpness, but this is not the point, you get a 18X zoom in your pocket!) this is a P&S camera with a huge zoom (ideal for travel) the flexibility and size you obtain is invaluable. I also use some canon and nikon SRL's and a small p&s.

Fantastic photo,s from such a user friendly little point & shoot camera !

By

From the moment that it was removed out of the box and reading the quick start info, this camera just performed absolutely flawless in every respect. Other review's that I have read made this machine sound like a complete disaster but I'm totally convinced that their result's was just a simple cause of a mere operator error in every respect. The whole layout of this model is so easy and simple to use and understand that if your result's are terrible, I can't imagine what your pic's would look like if you were operating a less inferior camera of a different brand. All aside, this model from Nikon is the best point & shoot camera that I have owned and I've had a few. My hat's off to Nikon for such great innovative technology !

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Is this camera compatible with the Apple MacBook Compuger?
JACK O  Immediately compatible with iPhoto. I only use Mac's and have never looked back. I replaced several Sony camera's(point-and-shoot) and am impressed with the features of this camera. Not every picture turns out, but a ton more than the Sony's used to yield.
Shopper  How well did it work? Were you happy with it?
EUGENE S  Having trouble with the movie mode not working properly. But all other functions work well. Optical zoom of 18 is perfect for those of us not attached to a tripod all the time. Camera is light, compact & easy to use.
