I just got it recently but have been using it for close up photography thus far. Saying that, I must admit I am very happy with the turn out of all the photos and the camera function.
I was looking for a backup camera and I found this deal, it works great, very impressed, thanks so much
I bought the D7000 to replace my D90. I didn't find a substantial enough difference and returned the D7000. Took same shots of same places. Disappointing results. I will upgrade instead to the newer model. I bought a D3200 at the same time as an ever present camera pocket camera and I liked the quality of the images better than the D7000 -- although the D3200 lacks some powerful features I value and need.
This camera is a great upgrade for anyone using a D3100 or even a D3200. It feels solid in the hand and you'll love the 6 frames per second. You can't wrong with this camera.
The camera is so easy to use. The controls are organized. Access to shutter speed and aperture are effortless. The shutter sound is relatively quiet, compared to some other DSLRs I've tried. A real solid product.
I've used this camera to photograph my child so I needed the speed. Also had to high up the ISO to 6400 in order to make fast shots. The results were astonishing. Very decent and clear pictures at iso 6400. Great investment.
My Nikon D7000 is a refurbished one. I used it on a professionally led Autumn Colors photo shoot here in Northern New Hampshire, where I live, The results I got were deemed worthy of a pro. In fact, a local business owner has them on display. The camera has been everything Nikon has claimed it to be. An excellent product, easy to use, and providing excellent results.
I'm a enthusiastic photographer looking to become professional. My photography covers all fields. Macro, landscape, portrait, urban etc. This camera has filled my world of realism and gives me the picture I saw with my eyes. Dedicated buttons, his great performance in low light, 6 shots per second, control of everything without going to the menus!!! Amazing!!!
I love this camera! Used for: nature, candids, astrophotography and more. Pro: Quiet for an SLR, great in low light, options for turning off NR, good overall ergonomics, excellent screen and zoom in to check image sharpness, etc., handy controls for setting release to e.g. remote/shutter up. Con: Tricky getting sharp manual focus with 2x teleconverter and 70-300 zoom. Probably just me. Storage media door opens too easily when simply grasping camera body. Battery gets used up fairly quickly, but a lot is being asked of it.
I bought this camera because I believed it to be the closest to a fully professional camera body that I would ever be able to afford. It has not disappointed. As this purchase is still very new, I am still learning the multiple things the camera can do. Mostly it is used for landscapes, seascapes, wildlife, and flora photography. It has also been excellent for indoor shooting. So far, it is proving itself to be one fine camera. Highly recommended!
