I bring this camera with me everyday, which is impractical with my other camera, Canon 5D. My gripe is that the Raw files aren't readable on Photoshop (CS3). Searching harder online will probably lead to a solution but the JPEG quality is excellent. For everyday use, I've been skipping editing all together saving loads of time. Otherwise, I use the very slow raw editor that comes with the camera. Though picture quality isn't exactly 5D but it's close enough. White balance is excellent. With the right settings, even the red decoration and warm lighting in Chinese restaurants don't pose any problem. Colors are accurate and details are clear and clean. All that quality comes right out of the camera without editing. I expected it to be slow after reading other reviews about this camera. Surprisingly, it was not that bad at all (with the 17mm pancake lens) after using if for over two months. Again, it isn't 5D fast (I know 5D isn't all that fast either) but good enough, certainly faster than any point-n-shoot cameras. I can catch up with little kids at my church easily with the e-p2. All in all this camera is beautiful inside out and outside in. The classic look is as beautiful as the pictures it produces, especially with the silver body. Contruction is as solid as a tank. A little expensive it is. Lens selection is limited but that hopefully will imporve with partners like Panasonic and Sigma. You could get adaptors for original 4/3 lenses but they're ridiculously expensive. For example, the Olympus Zuiko 14-35mm F2.0 costs about [$]. That's almost twice as expensive as the Canon 24-70mm F2.8L and is a rip-off as 4/3 lenses are smaller and cost less to make. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to Micro 4/3 replacing 35mm some day.

The stylish retro Silver metal body of the new E-P2 may be reminiscent of a traditional rangefinder - but there's nothing traditional about this powerful new camera from Olympus. The E-P2 is a 12.3-megapixel interchangeable lens camera and it blends the high-quality still images of a DSLR with High Definition (HD) video, stereo Linear PCM audio recording and in-camera creativity - all inside an ultra-portable, easy-to-use body. The E-P2 also brings a new twist to the PEN lineup: an accessory port which accommodates the optional VF-2 electronic view finder or optional external microphone adapter (SEMA-1).
The E-P2's Imager Autofocus Live View with the new C-AF (Continuous Autofocus) Tracking and AF Target Registration locks your subject into focus and constantly adjusts focus and brightness whether you or your subject is moving. The E-P2 also includes a new picture mode called iEnhance that automatically selects the correct exposure settings for subjects such as close-ups, sports and action, landscapes, portraits and night scenes, but has the power to also apply additional adjustments to color and contrast within each shot based on the subject.
The E-P2 makes sharing your content easier than ever. The E-P2s manual movie mode (30fps and 720p) allows for independent control of aperture and shutter for expanded creative control. The E-P2 continues its tradition of innovation with eight in-camera art filters including the new Diorama and Cross Process filters. The E -P2 provides two optional methods to help the user focus: a Magnified Focus (MF) Assist Function and Magnification Display. The Live View Autofocus system works as effectively and seamlessly on the E-P2 as it does on conventional E-System DSLR and point-and-shoot cameras.
The E-P2's three-mode In-body Image Stabilization system compensates for up to four shutter speed steps in the still shooting modes with any of its interchangeable lenses: Mode 1 for general shooting, Mode 2 for creative high-speed horizontal capture and Mode 3 for high-speed vertical capture.
