Great lens hood for the Q Prime Lens

By

This is a great little lens hood/cap, reminiscent of the similar lens hood for the Pentax DA 40mm. Looks much nicer than the standard lens cap. Some may find the screw off cap less easy to use, but I just leave it off when out shooting for the day (leaving just the hood in place.) A quality and elegant hood for a great little camera.

It's for the 01 Prime, *not* the fisheye

It does *not* fit the 03 fish-eye at all, but it is a really nice, high quality metal hood for the 01 Prime. It makes the lens look like a mini DA40mm limited. If Adorama changes its website to reflect the correct lens compatibility I will upgrade to five stars.

Questions about this item:

Hans N  This is not for the Q fish eye lens it, is for the 01 the fish eye does not have a filter thread and if it did it would be about 30mm ?
TIM M  This hood fits the 01, 02, and I believe the 06 lens as well.
Brandon D  Can this fit over any canon lens? If not which can it not fit over?
ARI K  The hood fits on lenses with a 40.5mm filter thread. It's angle of view makes but suitable for lenses of normal to slightly wide angle. I use it on vintage Leica-mount rangefinder lenses, such as the Nikkor-H 50mm f/2, Jupiter-3 50mm f/1.5 and M-Rokkor 40mm f/2. I'm not aware of any vintage Canon rangefinder lenses that use a 40.5mm filter, though many use a 40mm filter and 40-40.5mm step-up adapters can be found. I would not suggest using it on lenses wider than 35mm, and even those might see some vignetting.
