About Samsung WB750

The Samsung's WB750 Digital Camera wants to be your go-to point-and-shoot. By surpassing the realm of the basic snapshot taker, the WB750 offers you a number of creative ways to enhance your images, without weighing you down. Light though it may be, don't let the size fool you; the WB750 has 12Mp of power packed inside that compact frame. Samsung's BSI CMOS sensor takes those pixels and puts them to good use for both still images and 1080p HD video.

In addition to capturing plain 2D still images, however, the camera also takes 3D photos and provides you with a number of panoramic modes. Of course the sensor isn't the only part of the camera responsible for taking great photos and videos. The 12Mp sensor has help from the 18x optical zoom 24mm wide lens. This lens provides you with both 18x optical zooming and a 24mm wide lens with Samsung's 24x Smart-Zoom feature.

The WB750's 3.0" LCD screen also plays a big part in capturing those future memories, with three full inches of composition, review and navigation space. Other features like full manual control, face recognition and face tracking all come in handy to make your images the best they can be. The WB750 also offers up purely fun and creative functions for enhancing the images and movies you took. Magic Frame, for instance, puts any of 12 background templates on your photos.

'Frames' include a 1950's TV set, an antique look, your face on the moon and more. Creative Movie Maker is another interesting feature with endless possibilities for your videos. This function lets you combine stills and videos for a slideshow - complete with a soundtrack from the pre-loaded library - all in-camera. You can save the file for playback on your HDTV to share with the entire family.

I am impressed with this P + S for its ability to make simple shots so easy to capture. Out of the box, charge, place camera in Smart mode, and be amazed. Macro, distance zoom, action, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Samsung!

Great Performance plus Schneider-Kreuznach optics

By

from Pittsburgh, PA USA

I bought this as a pocketable camera for those times when I did not want to take my DSLR, Hybrid, or my Samsung TL500/EX-1 compact. Fast optics, zoom range, and controlability were factors in the decision to buy. I've been shooting with this for a couple of months am impressed by the picture quality, low-light performance, and ability to go manual, allowing full artistic control. Image quality is excellent, especially for a lens with this range. Focusing is fast and accurate. Menus are intuitive and the learning curve is quick. Parenthetically, my experience with Samsung service was a factor in buying this camera - after initial difficulty with my EX-1, Samsung service was responsive and took care of the issues and the outstanding performance of that camera was reason to come back to Samsung for this camera. As a plus, I also found it at a great price!

Used it for video indoors. Worked well. Audio on it not too bad either. Great for the price.

This is a great close-up camera. Better than great.

By

from So Cal

I worked my way up from point-and-shoots to a DSLR and wanted to get a macro lens, but kept putting it off due to the high cost. Recently I went out into the field with brother, a biologist, and was surprised when he pulled this little Samsung from his pocket and held it nearly against the lizard he was holding. The photo was amazing! After a few more examples of the camera's great close-up performance and how much more convenient it was than a big, expensive macro lens for my own set-up, I bought mine! It hasn't let me down yet...AND I love the panorama feature! Very pleased.

Samsung WB750

By

from Undisclosed

Samsung the WB750 is fantastic value for money considering its wealth of beginner friendly modes and effects, more sophisticated options for more experienced users, and the compelling combination of that versatile 18x zoom lens, good quality stills, excellent video and refined design. As a carry-everywhere camera that won't break the bank, the new Samsung WB750 makes almost perfect sense.

Better than expected.

By

from Brooksville,fl  -  Casual Photographer

This camera takes excellent photos in all settings (inside/outside, night/day) and the 18 zoom is much better than expected. Shutter speed lags a little in low light conditions. This camera is more than worth the price.

BSI SENSOR!

By

from Undisclosed

This is a good overall camera. The zoom goes to 72X (18x plus 4x digital = 72x) . However, the dual image stabilization works only up to 18x, but this has not really been a problem for me. The new sensor BSI type is far better than the older CCD type sensors. So overall I am very pleased with my this camera.
