This lens will work with any Sony or Minolta lens that is white in color. I have both the 1.4X and the 2X Teleconverters. I prefer the 1.4X.

Glad I bought it!!

I am a wildlife photographer. First use at Merrit Island and Vera Wetlands. Works great with 70-200 f/2.8; fast AF. With 70-400G lens no auto focus. It takes practice but works great. With focus peaking, can focus quickly in majority of situations. Use the a77; shoot in RAW and see no noticible difference in output with it on/off. Worth the price. Glad I purchased it.

Questions about this item:

Ed Q  I have a Sony A77, and am wondering if this will work with my 70-200 mm G series (1st generation, I believe) lens?
ROBERT W  I have the a77 and just got the a77II and bought the 1.4 several years ago. I know it works with the Minolta 600f4lens and that is a screw drive. If it works with that it should most definitely work with the Minolta 70-200. It really is a superb multiplier as I also had a less expensive one before.getting the Sony. The. Additional cost is obviously in the optics as the Sony 1.4 results in sharper images through the range. With the 600 I can shoot at the f4 at 1/200 and crop the resulting images by 50% and get a great 16by20. would highly recommend the Sony 1.4 well worth the price and it should work with the old Minolta a mounts as it does with the minolta 600. kevin b  I'm interested in a 1.4x TC for a Sony a77- looking for something cheaper than the sony brand if anything is compatible?
Andrew R  We have a several different 1.4x Sony compatible teleconverters available:
Shopper  Does this work with the new alpha A7R? (New 70-200 lens).
DAVID D  The A7R is an E-mount camera, hence requires e-mount lenses. While the Sony 1.4 is a great TC and I'm glad I bought it, it's made for high end A-mount lenses. The white color of the lens gives you a hint what lenses it will work with. It works with white A-mount lenses. It will not work with or even fit onto black colored lenses. I don't think it will work with ANY E-Mount lens. Hope this helps.
