Does what it is supposed to do.

Excellent for the Sony Flash system. Reasonable cost compared to others. Dependable and will shut down if flash overheats protecting the flash head. Putting in excellent AAA's helps longevity.

Turns a Good Flash into a GREAT FLASH

from Noblesville, IN  -  Pro photographer

I have 2 of the Sony HVL-F58 Flash units, which I like for the tilt feature and the power. But I hate the Overheat warning and the slow cycle time which makes every second or third image underexpose. But with this battery pact attached, I tested and shot 200 straight images. I would have kept going but my wife said that I had proven the battery works. It NEVER missed failed to fire the flash at 5 frames per second. I had to wait for the card to write but never the flash to recharge. I think I will buy another, so that I can one for each flash unit.

Excellent choice of compact power source

from New Haven County, CT  -  Pro Photographer

This particular battery pack worked fantastic on the weddings I shot with it. Keep in mind I only used long lasting lithium batteries for it's power source. It maintained power and speed for approx. 600 shots, and kept going for my next event. Mounted with ease to the bottom of camera bracket.
