Disappointing Extension

This is a disappointing extension. While it is rated at 4.9', it's practical length is more like half the rated length due to the coils. This is the same problem I had with the FACC1AM. When I tried to use it with a tripod, the range is extremely limited. I spent as much time making sure I wasn't going to pull the flash over as I did taking pictures. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was what else was I gong to use.
