I was hoping for something along the lines of the Giottos Aegis screen protectors, which are made from multi-coated Schott optical glass. Instead, this appears to be made from relatively soft polycarbonate. Mine arrived all scratched up *on the inside surface*, apparently from sliding around in the packaging during shipment. The resulting haze makes it pretty useless for critical viewing of the display. The protector also is a dust magnet (another unfortunate property of polycarbonate). Sony: This product is a swing and a miss. I'd rather have one of those thin films than this. Note to Giottos: Suggest you make an Aegis protector just for the RX-100. I'm sure the RX-100 customer base would buy it.
