Review Summary
eStarling invented the email and social media empowered Wi-Fi digital photo frame and launched their first generation product as early as January 2006. By eStarling's own definition, the best Wi-Fi photo frame should at least have the following features: a) Each frame has its own unique email address so that your friends and family can directly email photos within minutes, not hours; b) After a onetime set-up, photos from social networking sites and photo sharing sites should arrive automatically to the frame. Now we proudly present our newest version 802.11n Connected Touchscreen Frame. It includes the following unqiue specifications specifications that were not part of our earlier releases and that you will not see in any competing products.
802.11n
eStarling received so many inquiries in the past about when they will support 802.1n. Here it is! The world's first 802.11n enabled Wi-Fi digital photo frame. With speeds of up to 150Mbit/s and a range of 230 ft, Wireless N is simply that much better. It is lightning fast and has amazing range. Plus it runs on a higher frequency than B/G so there is much less chance of getting interference from neighboring hotspots. By the way, 802.11n is backward compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b. So don't worry, your 802.11b/g Wi-Fi hub works with it as well.
10.2" Touchscreen
It has been a hassle to use the remote control to set up Wi-Fi or access the frame. So we have decided to use touch screen technology to vastly simplify the navigation process. Our unique split screen design allows photos to be presented in 4 by 3 dimension while showing small windows to display useful information such as weather reports, time and date, and the next photo preview.
Connected Video
Unlike other digital frames that support video, eStarling supports connected video. That means Dad can use iPhone to shoot a short video of the kids playing and minutes later their grandmother can watch them on her eStarling frame thousands miles away. How COOL is that! Currently we only support short connected videos (less than 20MB in size) to be sent by mobile phones. The frame will not show Youtube video clips or any type of streaming video.
