Fantastic software

from Lakewood, CA  -  Quality Oriented

I just completed a photo trip down the central coast of Calif. I took several series of images with the intent of using this program - they came out great. I've also used it on some single images and I am amazed at the results. It is very easy to use and there are numerous video tutorials on their web site and are very helpful.

Rated Number One in OutDoor Photography

from Grass Valley, CA  -  Quality Oriented

I replaced Photomatix with Nik because Nik was rated number one in Outdoor Photograher and I agreed. It had far more natural results, Photomatrix produces very garish, overly vivid pictures that are usually unnatural. A few pictures can handle being very, very vivid.

Does not work with CS5 on 32 bit systems

from philadelphia, pa  -  Quality Oriented

Although it was not made clear on the Nik web site when this product was first released, it will not run on CS5 under a 32 bit OS. If you are not running a 64 bit OS, and you want it to work with Photoshop, you are out of luck.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  What is involved in the upgrade to #2? Will I be sent another disk?
Toan T  If you're qualified for FREE upgrade, why do you have to pay $49.95? I saw this version 1 for $79.00 with free upgrade, and then a version 2 for $99.00, it doesn't make sense, eventually both will end up having version 2, so why is there a price difference? and why still sell version 1?
