The kit works great, but is not easily portable. It is too big and bulky to carry around. also, there is no extra space in carriers to add additional umbrellas, stands or lights. This Kit would be great for a beginner or a hobbyist. It is not good for a professional that works on-location.

Outstanding performance. Battery charge holds for a long time. Only criticisms are that 1) the modeling lamp for the battery flash is just too weak to be any good. The modeling lamp for use when plugged in is superb. 2) Flash output is adjusted by a turning knob, from Full to Low, there are no markers in between. Requires a little more time with the flash meter. Otherwise I have used this setup in all situations. Coupled with the JTL remote kit I have absolute freedom. The output is consistent, balanced, and I have yet to have a problem (beyond my own occasional errors).

I used these lights in a studio setting but I do very little of that kind of work. I decided to take them to a gym and a hockey arena. Two lights; one on each end of the facility aimed straight up to bounce off the ceiling. With pocket wizards controlling the lights I could light up the entire place with no shadows and stop the action.

I have only used these lights for 9 months but have had no problems with them. The batteries seem to hold a charge very well and maintain quick recycle times through my remote event shooting. Having a remote powered lighting setup allows for some outstanding on location shooting. The price is another asset as these lights are much cheaper than some of the competing products

I love the portability of these lights. I wish that there were better instructions on their use.

Has all the portablity and plenty of power for 95% of the occasions. If more power would be needed have a third unit, or add a smaller unit from JTL. I love this set up. I am going to buy the new 600 moblie unit from JTL soon. I also added some of the box/egg crate to much delight. Total control and variations
