Economical Beginning
In portraiture these lights do well. However, the heat of the lamps may not lend well to all environments. Be cautious lamping the heads as these are halogen's which shouldn't be handled with bare hands. The price works well with those on a tight budget for decent lighting. I'm sure you get what you pay for but these do a decent job.

Outstanding Value
Hey, for the money, is a great kit. I purchased a Smith-Victor Corp "lamp extender" to enable me to drop the power (luminance) from full to half.
