About JVC DT-V24G11Z

The JVC DT-V24G11Z Studio TFT LCD Monitor (24"), with a 10-bit 4:4:4 real time processor and 16.7 million colors, delivers high-quality images at a resolution of up to 1920 x 1200. It offers a contrast ratio of 1000:1, brightness of 400 cd/m2 and a wide viewing angle of 178 x 178deg. (H x V) that allows you to view the images clearly even from room corners or when the display is mounted at a height.

In addition to aspect ratio of 16:10, the JVC DT-V24G11Z LCD Monitor can automatically adapt to the input resolution of the incoming video signal. With a response time of 5 ms, the LCD Display Monitor displays clear images with minimal blurring. De-interlace (IP mode) circuitry converts interlaced video, such as common analog television signals or 1080i format HDTV signals, into a non-interlaced form. For IP conversion, you can chose from the Normal (frame complement and vertical filter), Field (field complement) and Cinema (for 24p) modes.

Built-in low latency circuitry ensures accurate monitoring by minimizing the time difference between the input signal and monitor image to less than 1 frame. The desired color temperature can be set with a 3-temperature memory that comes in 9300K and 6500K modes as well as user-specified mode. The LCD monitor features a wide color gamut (subset of colors) and offers a chromatic range equivalent to EBU 100%. Being gamma calibrated, the LCD monitor produces correct video images and incorporates pre-set gamma modes (2.2, 2.35, 2.45 and 2.6).

Using the built-in waveform monitor, you can detect video, component (except RGB), SDI, DVI (except PC) brightness signals at a resolution of 360 x 254 for SD signals or a resolution of 480 x 254 for HD signals. You can also monitor the color signal levels of each color for R/G/B, Y/PB/PR and Y/CB/CR on each screen.

In addition, the peak brightness of the DT-V24G11Z Monitor can be monitored with the help of the Over-level function. Built-in vectroscope allows you to check the hue and saturation levels of a video signal and display it in the form a vector at a resolution of 254 x 254. In addition, the vectroscope is compatible with video, component, SDI (SD/HD) and DVI signals.

Equipped with Closed Captioning Decoding in EIA608/EIA708 caption standards, the studio monitor displays additional text or information to viewers who wish to access it. An audio level meter, which displays the channel number in each level bar, allows you to monitor the audio signals for reference level/over level, 0 dB, 3 set levels and peak hold function. Two internally mounted speakers allow you to monitor 2 audio channels out of the available 12 HD/SD SDI embedded audio channels. In addition, the volume level can be adjusted with the help of a rotary knob.

With a 1:1 scan function, you can view input signals in the actual format without any scaling. The 4:3 vertical display function can be selected with a simple menu setting and it allows for full utilization of the vertical screen area (1200 pixels). Status information is displayed in the vacant area above or below the active picture area. You can assign the monitor name (up to 10 characters) using the on-screen menu or through the RS-232C connector. In addition, the monitor also offers features such as time code (SDI-embedded), an audio level meter (12 channels) and CRC error status.

The studio monitor features various video production functions like area markers and a 100%-80% adjustable safety marker (to display the area outside the image). Using the aspect switch feature, you can precisely monitor different aspect ratios in 16:9 and 4:3 modes, while the screen check feature enables correct image-checking by switching between R, G and B signals.

Time code mode allows you to view HD-SDI / SDI embedded time code on the screen. The monitor also supports LTC (linear time code) or VITC (vertical interval time code) types of time codes. When there is no input signal or during power-saving mode, the monitor can be set to No Sync Action by choosing from Suspend, Gray Back and Off. The DT-V24G11Z monitor incorporates a 4-way remote control system that can be selected from Make contact system, Trigger Pulse system, RS-485 and RS-232C. The cascade signal output can be achieved by converting the RS-232C system to RS-485.

Using the standard 100mm VESA mount, the LCD monitor can be rack or shelf mounted. A rugged metal base with a 4-hole pattern provides secure installation. The metal desktop stand allows you to tilt the monitor up or down up to 6deg. In addition, the studio monitor features a rugged metal cabinet for added durability. A speaker grill and enforced edge design protects the protruding volume controls and switches from accidental operation, while the concave rear design safeguards the connectors.
