awesome film

I typically dislike C-41 film. However, Ektar is the only exception, I love this stuff. Nail the exposure like you would with slide film, and you will be treated to a look half way between Provia and Velvia, with more latitude than either, good skin tones, but vastly less expensive. Scans very well. Don't let the price fool you, this is really good stuff, I will be buying more.

Shoot with this in the studio using strobes. Reads light beautifully, and and is incredibly easy to color correct when scanning.

Beautiful colors, excellent for scanning

By

I shoot using pinholes and technical camera's. This film gives very rich colors and is very easy to scan. Really, the only con I can think of is you can't by boxes of 50 sheets or more, which would be so much handier.

SUPERB Color Film for 4x5

By

from San Diego  -  Semi-pro Photographer

This film and its predecessor sizes are so good that I am shooting 4x5 color film again for the first time in over 20 years. Primarily using for close-up shots such as saturated flowers, high key downtown night-time shots, some landscape where I desire extra punch in the image, shots with a lot of red in the scene, basically just about everything except portraiture. I'm just so happy Kodak released this in 4x5 sizes! Great stuff!
