Kaiser Studio-out-of-the-Box: New Ideas for Better Images...
A suitable home studio for your existing camera...this is the intention of Kaiser Fototechnik. The German specialist in photographic tools sees their new Studio-out-of-the-Box as THE TOOL for really good product shots.
It is obvious that Kaiser had the rapidly increasing number of digital photographers in mind. They are the ones who, with growing enthusiasm, take pictures of small objects to include them on their website, improve their offerings with internet auctions or just archive their collections.
Here is where Kaiser's idea comes in: Studio-out-of-the-Box is a multi-fold problem solver. Camera mounting, object positioning and background are handled out of the box, and as an accessory you will also find a lighting solution. All that will fit on your living room table or wherever you want to install your temporary studio.
Studio-out-of-the-Box is primarily an 30 x 45 cm / 12 x 18 open-profile baseboard with a drawer containing a fold-out holding frame, and with a smart trapeze stand snuggling outside the baseboard. This makes it possible to fold it resulting in a rather compact unit that fits in the box.
The object is placed on the baseboard, the drawer hides the frame that folds out to carry the background material. The background roll is included. The drawer is removed completely and set upside down, it increases the length of the studio by 30 cm / 12".
Opening the trapeze stand will reveal its function: a camera mounted on the pivotable and relocatable platform can be positioned at any angle, any height and various distances from the object. When shooting from a top-down position, the camera platform is locked so, the vertical position will remain when the trapeze is rotated.
Combine the high level of flexibility of this miniature studio with the macro setting and zoom lens of your camera a standard feature with most of today's digital cameras and you will always find a suitable set-up which can be checked using the camera monitor.
Besides using daylight or existing light sources, there is an optional lighting equipment from Kaiser. Two 25 cm / 10" long tube-type lamps can easily be attached to the main table and will also fit in the box.
