WaveCase digicam is a new waterproof housing for small digital compacts now introduced by Kaiser. It targets mainly at snorkelers and beach holiday makers.
WaveCase digicam is watertight up to 4 m (13 ft) of depth at full function and provides easy access to all significant controls. Above all it protects against sand, dust, moisture, splash water, rain, snow, dew, hits and knocks.
The housing is made up by two half-shells with a frame having eight fixing points for safe locking. It is made of crystal-clear polycarbonate with a scratch-resistant coating on the lens side whereas on the LCD side there is a highly flexible silicon foil covering the back of the camera like a second skin. The major controls are clearly visible and easy to operate.
WaveCase digicam comprises a hard-foam frame and seven removable hard-foam elements for keeping digital cameras of different shape in place. WaveCase accepts cameras up to a maximum body size of 56 mm (2.2 in.) height, 106 mm (4.2 in.) width and 26 mm (1.0 in.) depth. The lens extension should not be more than 18 mm (0.7 in.). It is not recommended to use the built-in flash light due to possible reflections.
WaveCase digicam is mainly designed for quick snapshots on the beach or at water sports, but is also very useful for all who want to take pictures during sports or outdoor activities and in extreme weather or environmental conditions.
