Questions about this item:

Geoffrey W  I'm interested in mounting a medium weight dual camera rig, weighs 4 lb. the rail has a 1/4-20 or 3/8 hole. Can a 1/4-20 or 3/8 ball head base mount on this pole (assuming the assembly on the top with the stainless stud can be unscrewed as is attached issuing a 1/4-20 or 3/8)?
Andrew R  Though not specified by the manufacturer, this boompole should be equipped with a standard 3/8"16 stud. Theoretically, you could mount a ball head however you may run into a weight issue once the rest of the rig has been assembled (keeping in mind that a shotgun mic with a blimp, mounted in a standard shock mount probably weighs less than 2 lbs). At full extension with that much weight you will most likely encounter a great deal of flex.
