Great lights...

from Cedar Park, Texas  -  Semi-pro Photographer

This is a great light for lighting jewelry displays for art shows, making the jewelry sparkle! I recommend the product. However, if you're in a hurry, I don't know if I'd order it from Adorama. They didn't actually ship ours out until the day after hey said they did (we shipped 2nd Day Air...you think that would indicate we needed them quickly), then forced us to pay for the lights AGAIN ([$]) when they shipped another set to our show destination, then charged us $45 through our UPS account to recall the package that they delayed. They also charged us $410 to ship the Tota Light Kit 2nd Day Air....yes, the SHIPPING was that much because they split it into multiple shipments that were oversized. If you must order from Adorama, order ONLINE...they will honor the shipping amount quoted online, but if you order over the phone, you won't know what the shipping amount will be because they don't disclose the size of the box or the weight so you can get an accurate shipping quote from UPS. I don't know what's up with their shipping department, but they will ream you in shipping if you're not careful. Ask questions. Overall, the lights are nice.

I am not a photographer. I am using this light to brighten my displays at trade shows. The light is compact, bright, easy to assemble and most of all, lights up an entire 8' table without any problem!

Good Product and Price

from Sydney, Australia  -  Photo Enthusiast

Great light, small and easy to carry around. I only had used this light for shooting video but my only concern is the HEAT with the 800W bulb.

Good for the price

from American Canyon, CA  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

I got these for green screen lighting and they work quite well. I consider them a good value for the price, which obviously means that paying more gets a better product. Note that you are to only use these in the horizontal position. Running them vertically burns out the bulb.

Don't Let its size fool You,

from Ft. Lauderdale Florida, Toronto Ontario

The Tota lights are my favorite light source system for night/indoor video shooting. I have been using 1000W Tota lights for a number of years now and I will keep on using them till they die. This small light weight unit is very powerful for a wide angle flood light. It has an impressive light spread of over 200 degree angle. Its amazing that with only a couple of these Tota light units, it can light up a very large room area when extending the lights up at 12-15 feet in the air. They produce very nice professional video picture results. If you bounce two Tota lights off the ceiling in smaller room settings you get great bright soft lighting with nice colors and depth of field. With 1000W quartz bulbs they get very hot and should be handled with gloves. It wouldn't hurt if they charged a little more money and added a cooling fan to this system. I love them and I am looking forward of getting couple more. Piero Foto
