Great lens for the money

By

Can get some aperture ghosting, but I have gotten some great shots with this lens. May take a few shots to get use to this lens, but it is easy to use.

Perfect for a start

By

from R.B., CA.  -  Casual Photographer

I bought this lens for my husband for christmas. The price was great for a starter lens. Im sure he would have rather had a auto focus lens but he loved this lens. Perfect buy, and much more affordable than an auto focus.

ADORAMA ROCKS!!!

By

from los angeles, ca  -  Semi-pro Photographer

ok where do i begin.. I was first hesitant on a 3rd party companies glass considering I only shoot & own Nikon products. Nikon has a 10.5mm I was planning to buy but for 699.99 plus tax, I didn't wanna pluck down the dough on such an expensive lens so i did my research, checking every website for an alternative and i have to say, this 8mm is the bessssst lens i've ever owned!!! its not fishy at all, its perfect!! I own several cameras but this ones for my Nikon D90 so its really at a 12mm crop factor.. their the perfect eHarmony match lol (ok back to the subject). This was my first time ever ordering so naturally i was worried. So finally I just said "do it".. I ordered the lens at around 12:30am wednesday early morning, i paid 42 bucks for next day delivery & it arrived at 10:15am thursday morning.. GOD SPEED FAST!!! Unpacking was like Christmas, all i could do was smile! the Fish is finally all mine lol. the Lens was packed very well! came in a typical brown box about a pound in a half, firmly in Bower's Box and surrounded around air cushion packs. i will definitely order from Adorama again and stop giving all my money to Samy's Camera, sorry to say it but its true.. its better to order online than it is to walk into a camera robbery shop lol. hope this review answered a few questions. please feel free to ask me anything else, peace.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
JON J  A nice lens for the price.
S A  Got my lens and with a well lit indoor scene it comes out completely black, it is set to M on my Nikon, so I have take every variation I can find, and at best there is a faint light from ONE of the 4 lamps I have on, in a well lit sunny room. Is this THE LENS or is it something I am doing? Outside photos are massively overexposed, so I am working on those, so I know it CAN take these photos. HELP PLEasE! I bought it to take inside photos, I don't want to use a flash, at all.
DE ANN F  This sounds like an exposure problem. All I can say is that I have successfully used my same lens in outdoor and indoor photos, using both flash and no flash. I used manual setting for focus and P for exposure. I would keep the same camera settings and sub in a different lens to see if the exposure works for that lens. Perhaps you have accidentally reset the exposure setting on the camera. Otherwise I do not have any suggestions.
bird b  can this be mounted on a Nikon DL90?
Andrew R  If you mean the Nikon D90, then yes, this lens is compatible with the D90.
