Works fine with some adjustment. Had to sand down the snap tabs a small amount to have it fit correctly on a 35-70 2.8 AF lens. Somewhat flimsy compared to a Nikon hood as the plastic is lightweight and will distort when you're turning it on to the lens. Was too tight with the filter on before sanding, but works fine now.

The original HB-1 lens hood got lost. It never stayed on my 35-70.. f/2.8D very well so it was just a matter of time until it got lost. This is a great replacement. Now I use a little piece of gaffer tape to keep the lens hood in place. Works great.

USE YOU HAND OR A HAT TO SHADE THE LENS.

Don't know if it's the design or I'm doing something wrong, but I found it difficult to get on my lens properly. Haven't tried the Nikon version so I have no basis for comparison

Although this wasn't an OEM product from Nikon, the Adorama version works great, is less expensive and still meets my expectations. [...]
