For photographing "round-the-corner" and for taking pictures unnoticed. That's because the picture being taken is 90° away from where the camera is pointed. Terrific for taking candid photographs, especially natural shots of children who are usually camera shy. They won't even know that they are being photographed. Threads into front of your 52mm lens or video camera.
Takes some practice to use quickly and aim properly
allows shooting around a corner or object, great for still or video!
Could be useful but severe vignetting renders product useless.
Item arrived with cracked mirror, but outside of aperature viewing area. Low quality mirror, was spotty and will not come clean. Unsealed unit, so dust is a major issue. Mirror quality and dust cause a lot of focus hunt. Was meant to be used with wireless remote for wildlife photography, but the first 36 hours have caused more headaches than it was meant to solve. Will be looking for a more quality option.
Fabulous product and idea! My dog snarls and shows me her butt if I point a camera at her. This solves that problem. Within 2 minutes of receiving the product, I had great portrait shots of her. Seems well made. You can rotate the tube which will rotate the mirror so it is pointing sideways or down or up at the sky or in between. However, I am going to have to find or make a firm case so the mirror does not get scratched. It came in a flimsy box which would not survive in my camera bag. It is approximately 2.75" diameter x 3.5" long which includes the threads. I'll have to check if any existing lens cases fit it. I'd really like another mirror scope that fits 77mm filter threads.
