very disappointed with this product. The monitor is prone to fungus, not weather sealed, fungus all around the screen monitor.

I waited to do this review for the simple fact I like to own a product and see the longevity of it for the review. I've had this monitor for 9 months now and a week ago I got a blue line right down the middle. Then 3 days later a green line .5" to the right of it formed. Both vertical lines. I have it hooked up using a hdmi cable to my PC. I run it at 1920x1280. It's been a great monitor up until then. Didn't even make it a year for casual use. Highly disappointed in this particular lg product.

Its better than what it replaces and provides very good picture quality. The controls could be a little less sensitive. Since I don't change settings very often it's not a problem.

I use this monitor with my 13" Macbook Pro and it is great. I get so much more value out of my computer applications than I did on the small, 13" screen. I wish I would've purchased this sooner! The overall quality is good for the price. The resolution and contrast ratio is good, and the size of the screen is perfect for a desk. The aesthetics are good too, and when the screen is off it looks like an edgeless monitor. However, when powered on, there is a bevel around the entire screen. I would highly recommend this product if LG had designed a better stand for it. I expect some sort of credit towards the purchase of a new monitor because of this. It is a flawed design that was allowed to pass and as a result they offer to replace the stand, but admit the mistake and confirm the product has been discontinued. If you can mount it, you're in luck. If not, prepare for every keystroke on your external keyboard to send this thing rocking back and forth. Your choice.

This is a good monitor for the money. Works well, the color is good. I would recommend this as a good general purpose monitor.

I have this monitor since April 2013 i like it so much, but since one week the left side is bluish and almost on half of the screen pixels look bigger.....I have tried everything, I changed cables, I have tried with different graphic cards, but the problem is the monitor. This is my second LG product, the first one was a TV i bought in 2008 and after 1 year i had problems with black ghosting.....very poor quality.

This monitor itself is what you would expect from a 23'' hd monitor. It is good in those regards. But the stand on the monitor is very cheaply made and flimsy. This makes it so the monitor always wobbles and if you have a shakey desk, this problem becomes even more noticeable. The display is very nice and the value is good, but if the stand just had maybe a little more sturdy design this would get a 5 in every category.

We replaced our 7 year old iMac with a new Mac Mini and needed to get a decent dimply since my wife does some Photoshop work…..this 23" LED display is wonderful. We had high hopes for it based on our now 4 year old 47" LED TV by LG…..and we were not disappointed.

The reason I bought this monitor was that is calibrated from factory and the only adjustment you have to do is how light or dark you wanted via in my case Windows 7 from the adjust screen resolution and then advanced settings and you choose "Calibrate" that's all the adjustment need it in the pre programmed settings that comes with this monitor, I use it for editing photos so I chose that setting and made the adjustments via the Windows 7 for how light or dark I wanted, for the price I found this model the best monitor especially that you don't have to spend more money buying software and hardware to calibrate it, if you are into the editing photos and video and don't want to spend a lot of money get this one, they are a few other monitors that are great but they don't come calibrated and you can see a beautiful picture but when you print that picture is a different story!!! # and remember to adjust the setting in your printer to match the picture in your screen, after that you are going to enjoy this monitor#. Everybody talk about the buttoms to adjust the setting in this monitor, they are touch sensitives and takes a little time to get familiar with then but not a big deal, after you set the monitor you're not going to touch everyday. For the price this monitor is the best in it's class for editing photos #for other uses I don't Know#, there are many other monitor that are superior to this one but be prepare to pay 3 times and over. My monitor is connected to a laptop # sometimes I have to restart my computer to see the apropiate resolution that is 1920x1080 for this monitor but that's something that is has to do with my laptop graphic card, not the monitor# but soon will be connected to a desktop. Hope this long review help you in finding a great monitor for editing your photos at a fantastic price especially when is on sale!!!

I purchased this 23" monitor to replace a 22" LG that went dark. I was pleased to find a monitor that had a screen size 1" larger (measured diagonally then my previous monitor and still fit on my desk along side my printer. I would have given this monitor 5 stars if it were not for the fact that the 23" monitor only displays a 21" inch picture. If I wanted a 21" monitor I would have purchased one. There is at least a 1" black border around the entire screen even after I installed the updated drivers from the LG web site.

This is a great monitor. I was really amazed at the difference between this LG and the monitor I have next to it, and that's using the D-sub connection. My only regret is that I didn't buy two of these in the first place, so I wouldn't have to look at this eyesore old monitor on my right :) The only quibble I have, is the lack of height adjustment. Not a real problem for me, but thought I'd mention it because that might be an important consideration for some.

This screen has a fantastic picture quality and if you are concerned about energy savings, it has multiple funtions for conserving use.
