I bought this monitor to use as the viewing screen for my cable modem and it works great. Using the HDMI input from the cable box and the headphone jack for a set of speakers, this monitor views all the TV channels in an excellent manner. The 5 million to 1 contrast ratio, 178 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles, 5 ms response time, 1920 x 1080 resolution, HDMI input and audio output jack make it ideal for my application. It would work equally well with a Blue Ray DVD player. I recommend this monitor to any and all.
