I've only had it in service for a couple of weeks and have a lot to learn about its many features and how those features apply to my household. Proper loading of the machine is important to overall results; I MAY need to change my dish detergent as well, just not certain yet. I've noticed water remaining at times on clean dishes but I do not have enough experience with the dishwasher to determine why that has happened. Overall, I am very satisfied with the performance and believe I am still learning how to properly use it. The appearance is perfect in my kitchen and it is quiet as a church mouse.

Well, I love the picture, that is I love the picture when it isn't shutting off constantly during viewing. At first, just after the warranty ended it started getting vertical lines if all different colors and then the oicture became unwatchable. LG was good to us after a long argument and replaced the screen free. Well now it keeps shutting off and after some research I found out that this is quite common. I wonder when LG is going to recall or fix these TVs. I used to love LG, now I just don't know what to think.

This is the best tv I have ever owned. The picture is out of this world. It is easy to use and looks like a million bucks in my living room. Our friends all rave about it as does anyone who happens to see it. Our first plasma and I hope the plasma format is around for a long long time.

I bought this tv to replace a plasma that ended up dying on me after many years of service. I am very happy with it. I only have it for 2 days so far but right out of the box it looks great. I can't wait to fine tune it and configure it.

I bought this set to replace a projection TV and am blown away by the picture quality, bright colors and the great sound. It is not my 1st plasma, but it is superior to my original one.

I really love this LG plasma tv. It has great colors, crisp image and a great slim design. The only complain I have is a sunburst effect. It gets more and more annoying. I am not sure whether that is a common issue with plasmas or perhaps it's a problem with my particular unit but I will definitely research it. This issue is particularly visible when the background is a solid color with white letters in the middle - the background color will have a slightly lighter shade from side to side at the letters level.

All of last week, everyone is telling me not to buy a Plasma. Plasmas are bad and they burn too much energy. I've done my research for a month and was determined to buy a Plasma. LG is my favorite brand so when Black Friday came the choice was simple. I am so in love with this TV that I didn't sleep for 24 hours after I hooked it up. I only had one issue; no video or audio out connections. I worked around that by using a fiber optic cable.

Had a 1st generation LCD HD TV and never knew what I was missing until I put this in. You have to monkey with the settings to get it to your liking but once it's set it is an outstanding picture. Not to mention a 1/4 of what I paid for the other one several years ago.

We already had an LG plasma 42 inch 720p and wanted to upgrade to a slightly larger screen size. We considered the LCD's and LED's with 120 hz refresh rates but they just didn't compare to the fluid picture of a plasma with fast action scenes. Also the colors on this TV are very real and natural, not overly bright or saturated. The real difference was going to 1080p. I love our 42, which is now in the bedroom, but the picture quality of this TV even with just HD cable signal will knock your socks off.

I've been following the LCD, now LED technology for years. I currently own an almost 3 year old 46" LCD TV, and was looking to upgrade to a larger TV with faster porcessor. I never considered a Plasma because of the old reasons not to; heavy, hot, burn in, and my least favorite, energy hungry. My son suggested taking another look, and...WOW, have things ever changed! I've had the set for alomost a month and I could not find a reason to return it. The picture is absolutely beautiful and there's plenty of ways to customize the settings. Well done LG.

The LG 50PK550 was the last one I looked at and it certainly impressed me. The price was well worth it. My next TV will definitely be an LG. You will NOT regret your purchase. I looked at an LED TV but this TV had more to offer and was the right fit.

Very well satisfied The picture is awsome, much better then I imagined it would be. I own a 42 class Vizio LCD and this LG50PK550 is SO much better in definition and picture quality it's not even close. Would recommend this to a friend or even a total stranger..it's that great

This is my first HDTV purchase, and I must say that it was worth it. The calibration settings are tricky, but once you either find someone with good settings online or get it professionally done, the picture is pretty awesome. The background isn't as crisp as it could be at times, but for this price and screen size I think it's very good.

Nice looking TV. Picture is incredible. Plenty of hookups in back & on the side. Very user friendly with plenty of user configurable settings. I've had this unit for a bit over a month & not 1 complaint. Very nice TV for the money.

2nd month having this tv and enjoying it. Aside from the tv getting a bit hot, everything works perfectly. Once broken in, picture quality is amazing when calibrated. I would recommend this product.

We got this tv after much research, and it was the best decision we made. The picture is clear, and the tv is easy to use (as far as the controls/features). We haven't had much issue with it using more electricity, or throwing off a lot of heat. We'll definitely be looking at other LG televisions and other accessories (Blu-Ray player, etc) in the future.

I've done a lot of research and my conclusion was the the LG PK550 line of plasmas is the best value out there for 2010. Great picture quality - accurate colors after calibration, high contrast, etc. No buzz. Looks very nice with a thin bezel. There are some line bleed issues, no worse than typical plasmas. There is a slight lag for gaming, for those that care. Also, the glare is fairly high on the screen, so you want a light-controlled room. But on the flipside, it means the image is sharper and brighter. LG does seem to have some QA/production quality problems, but just make sure you buy from a place that allows returns. And check out the official PK550 owner's thread on avsforum.

I ordered this TV online and was a little leery about buying it before I was able to see the quality. But as soon as I turned it on, it was an instant sigh of relief. The quality is great, the slim frame is outstanding, and my friends love watch games on it. This TV was worth every penny.

Whether you have an eye for design, a love of sports or all that and then some, the PK550 is a plasma that will impress. With its TruSlim Frame, it has looks to turn heads and its 600Hz refresh rate makes it perfect for fast action. Wrap that up with a load of other features, like it's outstanding contrast ratio and you have a TV that anyone would want in their living room.
