Bought this TV in January so 8 months ago. It's worked great, until now if it gets unplugged from the wall it won't turn back on for hours once it's plugged back in.

The picture quality cannot be surpassed as far as I'm concerned, I have friends with higher priced televisions but not higher quality. I picture quality is excellent, it is easy to hook up too.

Our LG tv was only 14 months old and the motherboard blew. Upon taking to our repair shop, he advised that the required replacement motherboard was incorrect. We have been without our tv for 3 months and was just informed it was ready. He had to call in LG service reps to figure it out. Now we have to pay for the repairs due to faulty installation from the start....................Go figure!

This product is an excellent 42 inch HD television which is very bright, easy to see and easy to use settings. The television is easy to manuever, easy to adjust and has a rotating base. It has a beautiful finish which blends into my living room perfectly. The quality is outstanding and my friends constanly offer their compliments. The price was exceptional!!

Bright, crisp picture. Even the sound is better than expected. The setup out of the box is easy and simple. Menus are easy to use. We received this as a Christmas gift from my sister and her partner, this is not the one we would have chosen as we were saving for a 1080p and 120Ghz. I am surprised at the performance of this 60Ghz, no sluring during fast action sports. Great TV and I am blessed to have it.

Not on;y are the different plug ins a plus the HDMI also offers a fast and effective change from component to component. The best feature I find is not needing the manual and an extra 15 minutes to set everything up. Everything is on the screen and very user friendly. In the near future I will purchase more components and will look at the LG brand first. If all continues with the ease of use it will be the only brand I look at.

This TV is wonderful! The picture is crystal clear and makes it seem as you are sitting right at the baseball field, on the boat with the fishermen, and sitting with the news anchors on the evening newscast. Absolutely the best TV I have ever owned.

This is our first HDTV. We did a lot of shopping and research before buying. After 6 months, I would definitely buy this TV again. It has all the features we need, great picture quality, we love it. There are only two things that I wouldn't rate excellent: the sound, as in most flat panels, is just okay (but due to the necessary small enclosure it does meet my expectations; it just isn't great if turned up past a "normal" volume) and the other thing is the auto-sensing for brightness; we've found that not to make the experience better and we leave it off. Otherwise, this is a great product.

we decided to go bigger and get a flat screen, did alot of research and found this the best TV as far as price, looks, and the clearest picture for watching all the movies and shows we love. This was by far the best purchase we ever made, and am very pleased with it!

I purchased this TV on New Year's Eve because it was on special at a great price. The picture is sharp and makes everything look very vivid. I only wish I had bought a couple more for my family members, I am impressed with the TV and will buy more LG products in the future.

I love this product, I am very happy that I chose LG rather than the other brands available. I have had it for about 6 months and it is great in all areas, the thin sleek look is a great bonus as well. I was just looking for a TV and ended up buying that night. I don't regret purchasing it at all.

The PQ and feature set this TV offers is good for the price and is an excellent value. Colors are highly accurate and viewing angles from left to right are wide for an LCD. It has advanced picture settings like 10-pt grayscale and 2D CMS that typically are only found on much pricier models. I have the version with the S-IPS panel and aside from bright black levels that are tinted blue, the PQ from this TV is very good to excellent.

The picture is very nice. I use a cable box/DVR, a surround sound system, an Xbox 360, and an upscaling DVD player with the tv. While other tvs have a button to cycle through these different inputs, this tv has a menu showing every one of its ten or so inputs (with an option to label what they're for). This is great when you need to select a rarely used one, but when you only have a couple of inputs you use, it's cluttered and forces you to use a menu rather than a few thoughtless taps of one button. Also, it shifts the items around depending upon whether they are turned on or not. If I try to select my Xbox input before I turn on the console, it's not in the same place. I'm a bit unique in that I wire my surround sound to play tv, etc while I play video games, and because of this, I often hear something interesting happening on a tv show while I'm playing xbox and want to quickly flip over to see what's going on. For that specific purpose, the tv is not very good. Still, you see I have given it a high rating because I am overall happy with it. It's my first LCD (though not my first high def) and I'm enjoying it a lot. Oh- one cool feature the tv has is an automatic energy saver that dims the screen based on the lighting in the room. The problem is that each of the steps of dimming isn't bright enough to see clearly in anything but a dark room. I suspect that if I turned up some of the basic tv brightness settings it might offset it, but I'm not sure if I need to offset just brightness or contrast or something else to get a balanced picture. I've thought of asking LG, but it's one of those things where you forget about the feature over time and it's like it was never there to begin with.

This TV is the best one we have ever owned, it also has features we were not aware of which is a Welcome surprise in this day & age! When normally buying a product, you just get whats labeled on the outside of box if that, in addtion if you are not Tech savy you are up a creek, you would need a 300 page manual & then need to call thee company or box store to get help which would cause frustration, but with this TV, we opened the box,set on stand went thru the easy to read instrustions & we were watchin our favorite show within 15-20 minutes. No stress,no fuss! Words cannot express how happy we were.The picture is perfect, I can go from TV to Blu-Ray without being confused, you don't need to be a Tech wizard!

I needed a large format monitor in a hurry when my old one died. I work from home and do a lot of video conferencing. Very impressive resolution that compares to a smaller more expensive computer monitor. Great for movies when I need a distraction too.
