I bought this exact model several years ago. It was my first LG purchase after much research and comparison. Til this day I am still very pleased with my purchase. My only regret is that I bought it when it was just released so I paid full retail price. I should have waited for the price to drop to add more value. I would recommend this unit, especially love the thin cabinet and borderless frame.

We have been very pleased with this tv. The quality of the color and picture is above anything else we've ever experience. It was a great value as we paid less for this set than comparable tvs. Since the technology was so advanced when we purchased the set, we have not been able to add apps that were not already downloaded.

The picture quality is excellent. The unit was easy to set up. It has a lot of features that I do not use but it is great to have them just in case I do need them. The sound was good for such a thin TV but I went ahead and purchased an LG NB4530B Sleek Sound Bar to go with my LG 47LA6900 and it really compliments the TV. As a senior citizen I had trouble understanding the voices on my old TV but now I can understand voices much better.

The LG 47LA6900 is our family's first flat screen TV. While shopping, I was comparing the picture to other name brand TV's and in my opinion, the LG was sharper and the color more realistic than others on display. The 47" screen is a perfect fit for our family room and the stand that was included seems sturdy and fits nicely on our TV cabinet. The Installation was incredibly simple thanks to the easy to follow directions from LG. Our previous TV was an HD set and we always thought it's picture was good, but when we turned on the LG we were simply astonished at the clarity and sharpness of the screen. We could see details that we never were able to see before, such as facial hair and wrinkles of people. I've never seen a 3D movie before and I was enthralled with the experience. The picture was sharp and at times it seemed like I could reach out and touch a butterfly or a bird in the scene. I was a little worried that the sound might be too low for the room, but it seems sufficient. The levels are 1-100 and its usually set at 20 or so. Down the road I may invest in a home theater speaker system or sound bar. The only item I think could use improvement is the user interface. It's a bit clunky to navigate with the remote supplied. I ordered the Magic Remote and now it's much more manageable to move around the screen with the curser.

This is my first smart TV and I could not be happier with my selection. Wifi works smoothly, the picture is awesome, and it sounds great. The only issue I have is connecting the smart remote to my cable box. I have tried everything and come to the conclusion it is a box issue and not a remote issue. I would buy another LG product in an instant.

I love this TV. The picture is wonderful. The smart TV part is a big plus. You can even search online. 3D is great on a real 3D movie, just ok when not a 3D movie. Set up was easy. Smart remote is easy to use once you learn how to make the cursor show up. I can actually use it instead of my Comcast remote. The voice activation works very well. I only have 2 complaints and they are minor. 1. All of the pictures of the 47la6900 in the ads I saw on line, showed the picture going all the way to the edge of the screen. It doesn't. There is a 3/8" blackout all the way around the screen. It's not a big deal, I just thought the ads were misleading. 2. The stand seems a little flimsy, but it is OK. Over all it is a beautiful TV with awesome picture quality. I would highly recommend it.

Found this TV to produce exceptional picture clarity as well as presenting smart features that add to the value of my purchase. The 3D functions are outstanding while the up-conversion from 2D to 3D is not that significant.

My only hesitation in buying this TV was the LG reputation for bad service. I finally decided that if it were built well to begin with, I could take a chance and hope I wouldn't need any special service. When the TV arrived, I was happy with its quality and feel I made the right choice. I can find things easily on the Internet and the apps available are very easy to use. My one suggestion is that the remote include a keyboard for easier surfing.

So far I am totally satisfied. The features of the TV are great. The 3D is awesome, which is why I bought it in the first place. Tried 2d to 3D on a Blu Ray movie and it was pretty good. The only downside is getting Dolby Digital to stream through the optical for renting and streaming movies through Amazon. I know there should be a work around. I feel it should be automatic. Overall I highly recommend this Smart TV.

The 47LA6900 was our first thin screen TV, our first LED TV, our first Smart TV, our first 3D TV . A lot of firsts. It was easy to set up. The picture quality is excellent. We are very pleased. I think we may need to get a faster internet connection as we are unable to stream TV shows through the free Hulu site. Also there seems to be a problem watching the NFL replay site. But to be fair, I have not taken the time to consult LG customer support yet. Also you can't play Farmville through the web browser. :) I have yet to watch a Blue Ray video or a 3D video and I haven't tried all the many bells and whistles. But for watching TV shows and DVD's it is great!!

This is a fantastic TV with tons of features. The 3D LED HD Smart ................. (and at the very end) TV has lots of offer. Ofcourse, for the first few days, all you want to do is watch the TV! Accessories hook-up is easy -- although, my one complaint is it wont take any USB camera for Skype purposes.

Also the talk avatar remote is awesome, finding anything on the internet, changings channels and APP., This is my first 3D HDTV and Im so happy, that Im going to buy another one in Jan or Feb. Its amazing watching 3D because it like your TV is the opening to the show, which you can almost touch and feel like walking into ( of course you cant walk into your TV, it just look like you can) . I researched tvs for months before buying ... and ultimately I always came back to LGs as the best choice. I wanted one with the metal bezel, but if you are willing to sacrifice that feature and the 240Hz refresh rate, then this tv gives you all the bells and whistles at a lower cost. It an awesome slim bezel (with metal on the sides, just fyi), TruMotion display, 3D, dual core processor, triple XD engine, 6 picture modes, and is WIDI ready - which for me was a huge selling point as I wanted to be able to connect the tv to my pc wirelessly to stream videos, etc. Overall, you will be very happy with this tv.

This TV just blew me away. The picture is just amazing. there is a slight reflection problem due to the glossy screen, but this is an easy fix. Just turn off lights and close shades in the daytime. The set was very easy to setup, I had everything up and running in my system in about an hour with the help of my wife. The setup menu is very easy and intuitive. The Picture setup system is great, I had an awesome picture in no time. The 3D feature is fun, 3D just like at the theater. The internet features are a little bit overwhelming. I had a few problems with these features and tech support was great. Not sure how much of this I will use, but it's fun to play with. All in all I am very pleased with this set.

This is the second of two LG 47 inch smart TVs hat I have purchased in the last three months. I placed one in the basement and the other in the garage. I have been completely satisfied with the ease of setup, the brightness and color of the images. In addition the audio is better than I would expect for set speakers. I have not observed anything that would be a negative. The remaining factor that I cannot judge as yet is the TV's durability. Only time of use will answer that question.

The picture is great. I watch this outside (under cover) and the reflection disappears when I turn the unit on. The sound is terrific. Control of remote and screen are easy.

I purchased this LG Smart TV in July 2013 and it has been a great purchase ad wonderful investment. I enjoy the easy to access features onscreen such as smart menu that includes live streaming of movies, web access, and more. I love the smart remote with the pointer and the picture quality is the best. I have enjoyed this TV!!! My family and friends are impressed at the advanced technology that is offered on this product. This TV has by far the best picture I have ever seen on any TV. It is absolutely incredible, the details that you can see are outstanding. The 3D works fantastic, it is truly amazing to see, better than in the theater. The glasses are light and comfortable and pair up extremely easily with the TV. The TV itself has a beautiful style, excellent quality of the 1080p 120Hz picture, which makes clear picture. Processor inside TV helps never to interrupt your streaming. I would recommend always this TV which will change your life.

I love my TV it is the best television I have every owned. this TV has changed my life, all my family and friends even my ex-husband comes over and some times they don't leave but spend the whole day or stay over for a sleep party ordering pizza or cooking and watching movies and playing games till almost 4:00am. this TV is an addiction you can not get enough of it and there are so many apps I still have many to check out. we have a another large HD TV in the house but it does not even come close to the picture quality of LG so no one wants to watch it they want to stay in front of my LG-3D-TV I can not get them to leave now, : ) even the commercials look good in 3D now that's cool and the colors are vibrant. I tell every one if they are going to get a new TV to get a LG. thank you for making great products that not only look good but the durability and quality over all exceeds my expectations!!!

The 47LA6900 has excellent picture quality, the internet browser has done everything I've asked so far and done it well, the remote is very easy to use,changing of channels all but instantaneous. I had purchased a competitors model and returned it in 3 days and got the LG. Only 4 stars because I haven't used the 3D but with the 3D feature it added to the quality of the picture. No complaints and I've had the tv for 60 days.
