About Lastolite

The Ezybox Hotshoe with the all new Mark II bracket (LL LS2414) converts your battery operated flash Features gun from a harsh directional light into a much softer diffused light. Available in three sizes - 15" x 15", 21" x 21" and 30" x 30", the Ezybox Hotshoe folds flat for easy storage and can be assembled in a matter of minutes. The new bracket is:
• Made of Delrin (a Nylon derivative)
• Designed to flex, not bend
• Hole is rectangular to match that of a tilt-head flash
• Can fit the Nikon SB900 flash
• Can accept handle mount flash with optional mount plates for Metz 76, Metz 45 and Quantum flashes
• Can accept optional studio type accessories being released late in 2009 such as beauty dishes, snoots and reflectors.

Works awesome and works with the Flex

I recently got this product after watching the review on the Learning Center with Mark Wallace. I am happy with the product so far. I am just getting into off camera flash photography and this was a good choice for me since I do some indoor and some outdoor photography and this is nicely broken down and reset up. Mark did mention in his video that the bracket and box wont work with a PocketWizard Flex. I found this to no be true though it wasn't straight forward...see photos.

Great portable light modifier

from Sunnyvale, CA  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

Very easy to set up; lightweight; adjustable bracket provides flexibility to use with different flashes (I used it with two different flashes); two diffusion panels enable soft lighting. Haven't used it long enough to determine how durable it's going to be, but it feels sturdy and well made. I got it together with Manfrotto 026 Swivel Umbrella Adapter #2905 so that I can tilt the softbox.

Extremely good portable softbox

from Potomac, MD.  -  Semi-Professional

It gives you the ability to create soft lighting for portraits. and it's easily take down and set up. The softbox itself is constructed very well, the bracket is made of hard plastic and is okay. I been using it for several weeks with my Phottix receiver w/o any issue.

Easy to use!!!!!!!

Great Product!

from Bend, OR  -  Pro Photographer

Fantastic softbox that is super compact for traveling. Fairly wide area of light output for a 24x24. The speedring can pop off the softbox if it's not on it properly. Also, if you use Radiopopper transmitter/receivers, the plastic rig that the Radiopopper receiver attaches to the flash will not work with the ezybox mounting. No problem as I just used velcro to attach it to the flash.

Great softbox

from Hood River, OR  -  Photo Enthusiast

I use it for portraits and still lifes or anywhere I need extra light. It's a great softbox. I primarily use it on a stand but it can be handheld on a pole. It has two diffusers so you can modify the quality of light. I use it with a Nikon SB-600.

great piece of kit!

from Boston MA  -  Pro Photographer

great piece of kit does exactly what i wanted from it and it is build well and I expect it to last a good while yet. Two levels of diffusion and easy to set up and take down with a nice carry case to boot. If you are after a medium sized softbox I would recommend this definitely. I have the smaller one as well and that is just as good too.

Quick and easy to use

from New York, NY  -  Photo Enthusiast

If I had to find a problem with this item it would be the largish triangular shape it comes when folded. However, I understand that it is exactly this shape that makes so easy and quick to deploy. Very happy with it

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
RALPH S  Easiest setup and very nice light, but way too expensive.
Shopper  Will a Sony Flash mounted on a Phottix Strato II Receiver fit on this bracket? Thanks.
DAN B  Unknown
steve c  Will this work with the Canon 580exII and the pocket wizard flex tt5? The Flex adds about 2 inches of height.
Peter C  I use a Nikon SB-900 with TT5 on mine all the time. I'm not sure if the Canon flash is taller or not, but it should work.
